As long as we get a striker and CB too i'm fine with this because i like him as a player and he can play fullback too.

Napoli are in pole position to sign Andrea Poli after his expected move from Sampdoria to Inter collapsed.

The player spent last term on loan with the Nerazzurri and they were keen to acquire him outright, but they couldn’t agree a fee with Doria for the former Under-21 international.

Napoli subsequently stepped in and, according to reports, their €6.5m bid for the player has been accepted.

Boss Walter Mazzarri specifically asked for the central midfielder given their spell together at Doria in the past.

The 23-year-old played in just 18 Serie A games last term as he struggled for fitness.
