The number of goals they concede under Tito is insane

i was checking stats out and they only have 2 clean sheets,counting cl games

i'm no Barca fan lol... but they are missing their Alves, Puyol and Pique. Puyol is not such a big deal. But it is with the other guys.

Also, as Xavi and Iniesta get older, the midfield domination cannot be sustained for 90 mins. So they need a better defense than they have because they are facing a lot more true attacking plays.

Abidal is supposed to be back in about a month too.

Defensively speaking, Abidal (pre-cancer) would have shat on Alba, amongst others <add your favourite LB here>. Alba is not a defender. He is one of those players whom isn't naturally a winger (he has pace and crosses well but he can't dribble for shit and isn't composed on the ball at all) nor a defender (poor decision-making, no height or physical presence). He's a jack of all trades master of none.

What a silly knee jerk. Until today,barca had conceded the same number of goals as Real in laliga.

Tell me if your team can pull it off without CBs, only DMs and wingers plus going 10-men down

Our whole back line is missing, we were one man down I'd like to know a team that could surpass that.

Barca have a great chance of winning CL. When they get Pique back they will improve.

Also Barca seems to enjoy winning CL every other year. So why not?

Honestly if we had played a midfield of Xavi - Iniesta - Busi from the start we would not have conceded 4 goals, but we would have also scored less. In these times when our defense is going through an injury crisis it's key that we maintain as much possession as possible, and that's simply not possible with Cesc.

With Tito we no longer dominate but we entertain more. A trade-off Cruyff would have been proud of?

People seem to think Puyol's absence is no big deal but let's face it I'd pick a 40 yo Puyol over Song anyday

Bayern defence, 2 goals in 8 league matches this season and people still say our defense is shiit.

Yeah Puyol's absence in leadership is very felt. How many times did we see two defenders going after the same ball? Today's defense had little chemistry and structure.

Barca hasn't been dropping the ball hard left and right over the last 4 years. They show up to win, on the other hand Bayern (you can also count Germanys performance which as Bayern players and also Spains performances which have Barca players) crumbles and comes up short

With that defence I doubt if Barca can challenge in CPL, I am eagerly anticipating a Barca vs Bayern clash, this time around it will be clash of the gods, not clash of the titans.

Well, it's not a very risky bet to say that Barça wont' win the CL. It's much more likely that Barça doesn't win it, that we do.

However, I don't see any reason why this current team is less likely to win it than last year's team. Yes, we concede more (although today's goals had litle to do with bad defending), but we are also better in attack. For instance, I don't see last season's chelsea being able to hold this Barça for 45 minutes with 10 men. Impossible. While Pep's Barça was more unable to break off park the bus defences (so far).

We can break the myth that says that attacks win you games but defences trophies.
