Scolari named new Brazil coach

That's the thing if Pato was anywhere near where he should be right now it wouldn't even be a debate it would be Oscar-Neymar-Pato and it would f*cking kick some serious ass.

Unfortunately he hasn't and due to lack of actual CF's i would seriously consider Neymar as a fake 9 with an AM and SS or an inside forward hovering around him.


Also Art i have always considered international football more of a coaches job and there be hardly be managerial attributes needed.

And he's always been a fantastic coach in my view and his international record speaks for itself and most of poor recent performances have come at club level which i don't feel he's suited to.

Also can't Lucas and Fernandinho operate together? Fernandinho seems more of a Kleberson player although much better IMO while Lucas is more of a Gilberto.

Of course there's quite a few options but IMO Fernandinho should not be competing with Lucas as they quite different.

Bit of a predictable move honestly from the CBF. They're turning to someone who is tried, true and trusted and based on this side has looked under Manezes, can't say I disagree with it.

Think Leandro Castan and Dante should get mentions at CB. Roma may not have the best defense, but individually Castan has been a standout performer. I also hear tell he was great for Corinthians as well. I've seen a fair amount of Dante this season and the dude looks pretty secure at the back. He doesn't carry the ball forward much like Lucio is famous for, but he's a pretty dominant CB aerially and reads the game so much better than Luiz.

Dante is getting no love. He's a beast CB.

I guess we're gonna have to wait until the we play our first friendly under Felipao (I think it's in February) to get a sense of what he is planning. We don't know what formation he will use and what players he will call up.

The WC is year and a half away so a lot can change until then. We'll have to watch factors such as Lucas Leiva coming back from two serious injuries, the development of Lucas Moura, will players get snubbed, and etc. Also Kaka has to get out of Madrid if he wants a shot at playing at the WC. I will be very surprised if Pato or Ganso come back into the national team picture. I'm also curious about Dante as he's not that well known in Brasil.

Fernandinho can't operate with Lucas, because Paulinho is better than Fernandinho when it comes to that segundo volante position, he's actually muc h better than Fernandinho.

Rafael won't come back to the nt at least until post 2014.His mistake at the Olympics final got everyone fuming. @mole, Fred and Luis fabiano can score,and that's all we need,Fred saved us in copa America and never got credit for it.I'm still jizzing over Dante and hernanes

Ronaldinho is slow and cant dribble but he is a amazing playmaker,even in his milan days he made goat passes.Not to mention FK taking and corners

I like that team, some players in there like Filipe Luis, Hernanes and Arouca who I think can do a good job.

Not sure about Ronaldinho long term, not sure about Miranda (though he has done better under Simone) and I dont know about Fred either.

Fabiano is proven, I know what he can do, I have no problems with that.

Scolari wont go to the WC without a veteran presence. I suppose Kaka and Roni would compete for that job, so Kaka should beg Corinthians to bid for him lol.

I suppose Damiao is injured, so one of Fred or Fabiano will jump out as well.

Agreed, man is a beast and very underrated when speaking of the best CB's in the world even though he's definitely up there with the best. "Thiago Silva - Dante" must be the best duo in the world.

Tbf though if that is the case wouldn't it make more sense to call up more attacking midfielders and just play Neymar as a fake 9?

No point using a 2 striker system if you lack quality strikers.

Fake 9 doesn't work. Only 2 players have ever mastered that position.
