Lewandowski shortly before signing Manchester United contract

I'm pretty sure if they wanted to keep Lewandowski, they would've made him a proper offer. This will be good for Dortmund. Lewandowski isn't a bad player, he's an excellent player, actually. He just happens to be a horrible striker, let him go.

He'll sit on some bench, on loan to Wigan or something, like Sahin and Kagawa. Let him have his huge wage demands.

Dortmund will do what they did when Kagawa left: use the money to buy even better players, and come back even stronger.

And on a side note, if a player is so stupid, that he can't see the potential for his career in staying at the current Dortmund side, he can't be helped anyway.

I agree he is stupid to choose Manchester United of all teams with the forwards competition they have but lets not forget he stated a while ago that its his dream to play in the Premier League.So in essence he is just pursuing his dream and one cant really blame him for that.

Bad move for Lewandowski, player wise. He will barely get any playing time with RVP, Rooney, Welbeck, etc. plus it will take him some time to adapt to the league.

But I guess being rich tops it all.

Bundesliga isn't a poor league, however EPL and La Liga are certainly better. Maybe he just wants to join an elite club in a top 2 league.

Either way Man Utd don't really need him. Unless they just want a long term replacement for van Persie, who's 30 next year.

No no, I'm not blaming him. I just think it's stupid. Let him leave, for Pete's sake, sure. I want him to leave.

I just think this won't go over well for his career, is all. He's best played in the position behind the striker, nevermind where he's playing at Dortmund, which is a team that is very different from United. He will be in contention with all of Roonaaaay, Kagawa, RvP and Wellbeck, that can't be too good for someone who can't finish.


But again, I really think Dortmund have plans for a replacement, or else they would probably offer him a few nickels.

For some reason Lewa is unhappy at Dortmund, and they seem to have accepted that.

Seriously SAF what's with these signings, the Newcastle-Man U match showed the weaknesses in defense and midfield. You can only outscore the opposition by so much....hope this idealism of his doesn't get the better of him when he faces bigger sides in the CL...

People are getting suspended for not heeding a warning by an Admin and continuing exactly with the same trolling that others were already warned about. Well, the point is actually right that - going to ManUtd to get benched is a rather unwise decision, especially as his colleague Nuri Sahin showed not too long before that wishing for something might be far less rewarding than getting it (a move to a "bigger" club, that is).

Depends on what you want from a false 9.

The German Messi's link-up play,vision and technical qualities are pretty much made for that role but Reus looks like a guy who could take a real beating or two alone upfront while also mesmerizing opposition defenders with his direct dribbling and long-distance shooting.

Both scenarios are mouth-watering.

United are obviously just playing to their strengths
Their strength is in attack and they just keep building that area up lmao

I can't even start to understand why Manchester United would buy a third choice striker for 22 millions when they also have the Mexicans, some other youn players and even Kagawa.

United already has 6 forwards on their first squad, assuming lewandowski is going to UTD its 7th. How many more has to suffer?

True but Lewandowski would give them another dimension in their attack and consistency RVP,Rooney,Lewa is one scary attack. Utd from what I've seen relies on scoring many goals.

Lewandowski isn't as clinical as RVP, and doesn't possess the vision and passing ability of Rooney, but I think his hold-up play is superior to both and that's where he can boost UTD's attack.

with that said, i think it's a bad move for him
