Whether he reacted too quickly or not, it was intentional. End of discussion.

You seem confused here. "End of discussion" is meant to imply one of two things:

First, it can be used in a most literal sense as a command when you are in a position of power or responsibility and a discussion is to be ended because it has either strayed beyond the acceptable bounds or is quickly headed that way.

Second, the phrase can be meant to imply that such a sound argument has been produced that there is no further use for debate as the topic has been successfully resolved.

As things stand, however, you have not produced any basic argument. You've merely stated a personal opinion without any evidence at all to support it. I am certain that if you ask kindly there are multiple different members of this forum that could give you a quick lesson in proper format and content for future endeavors, though.

And you most certainly do not hold the authority to call for threads or discussions to be ended. If that is what you meant to do I would kindly request that you familiarize yourself with the "Report" function so that in the future you can take the proper action.

Looks to me like it just hit his hand and he put it in. Unfortunate, but that's the way it goes. Refs missed it. Liverpool probably would have won whether this was disallowed or not.

I don't see how anyone here can blame Liverpool or Suarez. They got lucky as sh*t- so does everyone else every once in a while.

Only reason this thread was made is cause it's Suarez ffs Laughing

You guys are such haters. Pls hate on.

He has his daughters name tattooed on his wrist. He kisses his wrist EVERY time he scores. It has nothing to do with him handling the ball ffs.

Also, if you watch it again, it really wasn't intentional. He kicked the ball into the back of the net due to frustration (after it hit his hand) and only celebrated AFTER the referee pointed to the middle of the pitch to declare it was a goal.

Suarez will always court controversy, he definitely meant it there, this won't be the first or the last controversy of his playing career.

With that said it's about high time video replays are introduced into football, imagine Liverpool losing a cup final to a rival team on a contentious goal, many of those defending Suarez now would have had a meltdown.

I think he should do the honourable thing and just apologize to the fans and players of Mansfield.

One tweet with a good question:

When a defender handles in the area and doesn't tell the ref, do we call him a cheat? No.

Also, we wouldn't be having this thread if it was almost any other player. BBC's Sportsday Live wouldn't be having a discussion about that goal if it was almost any other player. Suarez is being condemnded here for something that 99% of football players would have done.

No problems mate.I am with Suarez here, but it is not fair to say that only one decision went your way in past years. It is impossible. It happens to every team.

Okay, Lets go by the decisions that have cost us this season, I remember 3-4 penalty calls not given to Suarez, Suarez vs Everton goal ruled out for offside, The Shelvey red card as well was very contentious, as well as the Valencia penalty.

Im sorry, We have been playing excellently and still not getting the points because of bad luck and below par refereeing [ poor finishing and inexperience are also one of them] , But if such victories come once in a while, Im more than willing to accept them.

Suarez handball goal vs Mansfield - Page 3 Empty Re: Suarez handball goal vs Mansfield

Post by BarrileteCosmico Mon Jan 07, 2013 2:37 pm

Mansfield boss Paul Cox refused to condemn Luis Suarez as a cheat in the wake of the Uruguayan's latest controversial moment in English football.

Cox, though, was left "gutted" for the club and his players at the 59th-minute handball from Suarez that clinched Liverpool's place in the fourth round of the FA Cup at the expense of the non-league Stags.

"Their second goal, that's when you need a referee or a linesman to spot those kind of things," said Cox. "I don't think he (Suarez) did anything wrong. It was instinctive centre forward play."

Wait, kind of like happened last year??

Seriously, we've had the worst record in the league in terms of game-changing calls this year, and Suarez alone has a worse record than most TEAMS in the EPL. Every Pool fan has said it was a bad call and we got lucky, it was bound to even out eventually.

How the hell did this reach four pages?

Wow! Did you just take my comment and spin it into outer space? I understand you're a Liverpool fan so you feel the need to storm out of the blocks but I don't even see why you're taking my post in another view entirely. Seriously? I'm not even going to bother with this anymore.
