Re: Guardiola to Bayern
Well, Bayern do have the second best possession stats in the major 5 leagues. When they played against Dortmund (who have excellent pressing), the passing accuracy went down to 82.5% which is still not too bad, albeit a bit lower than normal for Bayern, so the players obviously are affected by heavy pressing.
I think Barca would have slightly more possession than Bayern, but not as much as they usually enjoy. For a possession side, Bayern are pretty good in playing counters, too, though, so Bayern probably would concede possession in favour of playing counters instead. (I doubt Pep would clip Bayern's wings (both proverbial and literally) as these are one of the major assets of them.)

Meanwhile, Guardiola has kept alive his dream of eventually managing Manchester United by

Crummy paper talks, but if this man gets Vidal, just give him coach of the year already.

For CM/CAM they could get someone like Banega, Wilshere, Moutinho, Thiago, Cabaye, Isco, Benat etc.
For CF they could get someone like Neymar, Benzema, Suarez etc.
For RW/LW, if not Muller or Ribery, then maybe someone like Hulk, Balotelli, Villa, Willian etc.
Lol are you high? The ones you didn't fill out the names are positions already filled out with players you pretty much can't get better replacements for.
CMs are Schweinsteiger and Kroos, there aren't any better.
On the wings are Müller and Ribéry, the only players who might be a bit better individually, are much worse team players.
The CBs are Dante and Badstuber, and while they're not perfect, considering his style, Pep will love both of them.
CF is the only, ONLY, position where I could reasonably see Pep wanting to bring someone in as a starter, and not just for depth. And that's not becaucse Gomez isn't good, but because he's a pure poacher, and I'm not sure Pep loves the idea. Mandzukic got a bit more technique, but he's got no like-for-like replacement on the bench, and Pizarro will probably be close to retirement next season.

They're not Xaviesta, but they're probably the closest duo you can get to that, passing-wise, in the world. They're different, quite different actually, but they both tend to not lose the ball under pressure, unless they're way off form.

'They never imagined that Guardiola would snub their money for a club outside England.I hope they have finally understood that money can't buy everything.FC Bayern is a very big name on international stage. Thanks to our prestige and name Guardiola decided to sign for FC Bayern'.

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
Not to sound cocky or anything but i dont think Vidal will consider leaving Juve even if Pep came calling.
However i cant say the same if Real Madrid came calling.Afterall he is from a Latin Amercian country and every Latino's dream is to play for Madrid or Barca which is understandable.

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
Well, Vidal, I don't know about him. Would really depend on his happiness at Juve, and I assume he's quite happy considering how everything is working out.
But let's not forget that he pushed for a Bayern move very very hard before eventually signing for Juve, and he would've signed for Bayern if Völler (Leverkusen sporting director) hadn't veto'ed the sale of players to in-league competition.

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
I dont know the actual background of his supposed move to Bayern in 2011 but if he really wanted Bayern so hard i believe he would've stayed on for another year before eventually moving to the club on a free transfer.Just saying. And that too Bayer were participating in the CL last year ,so him staying on at Bayer for another year hardly would've been a lost cause.
But he's at an ambitious club now and he's very happy at Juve as well.Juve are a growing club and i dont see any reason for him to leave anytime soon unless he himself is pondering on his immediate future.Juve sold Zidane in his prime so its not like we force our best players to stay.If he's keen on leaving i think then we might be obligated to sell.
It may be an unpopular opinion but i dont think he would be interested in moving to Bayern NOW.

He was pretty fast setting up the Guardiola number. I guess that was highly visible (his Kloppo shtick is much worse though)

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
Stefan Effenberg is the latest candidate reported as in contention to assist Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich next term.
The Spaniard is seen as in the market for an assistant Coach, in light of previous assistant Tito Vilanova’s promotion to Barcelona Coach last summer.
Roberto Baggio, Luis Enrique and Juanma Lillo have all been paired with the former midfielder for their links with his past, but Effenberg has now emerged as another frontrunner, for his past with the German club.
Effenberg is a former central midfielder who spent two separate spells playing for the Bavarians during the 1990s and into the 2000s.
The 44-year-old is reported as having completed his coaching qualifications and as having undertaken a coaching internship at Bayern in 2011.

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
So I'm pretty nervous about the Suarez rumors.
What's the deal with that? Anyone know if Pep's interest is genuine.
If we don't get CL for next season, Luis will probably at least consider it.

Hopefully there is nothing to it. Without him, we'll probably get relegated.
