Pep Guardiola appreciation thread
This man is clearly a genius
The most European Cups/CLs by a manager is Paisley with 3....Followed by 17 managers with 2 each
Pep is currently sitting on 2 and about to take over Bayern Munich
Its record-smashing time

There's plenty of teams who can challenge him.
Real Madrid, Barca, Man Utd etc.

Considering he isn't trying to challenge himself by going to Bayern.

One might even go as far as to suggest that hiring Guardiola is a risk
He has only been successful with one game-plan at Barcelona while this Bayern Munich team has some quite different yet brilliant players. If their manager is too narrow-minded, he won't get the best out of them

Re: Pep Guardiola appreciation thread
What have Bayern won to say they dont need a change?
Thats correct..nothing.
This year, they could win something for sure...but the coach is leaving..they do have to replace him with someone.
Pep narrow minded? He is the exact opposite.

Re: Pep Guardiola appreciation thread
Posted this in the aftermath thread, but I think it deserves mentioning here as well:
hopefully yesterday's events will put to bed the "Barcelona don't need a manager, Peps job was easy" etc etc nonsense

not true at all, if anything, peps last season was their first signs of decline
on top of that, im not sure what roura did wrong yesterday. it was more barcas players that choked *cough* messi *cough*
im pretty sure if messi wasnt such a turnover machine yesterday they would have won/atleast had a shot on target

Re: Pep Guardiola appreciation thread
The reason why Messi was such a turnover machine was because whenever he got the ball, generally in the final 3rd, he instantly had 3 defenders on him. Everyone would be a turnover machine in those circumstances..

Re: Pep Guardiola appreciation thread
It's hard to judge where he stands in reality. Not his fault (although he did have the option of going somewhere that provided a tougher challenge), but he's only even managed the most stacked teams in Europe at the given period in time. Some would actually say he's underachieved at Bayern, and I would agree with those people given how badly he got beaten in CL semis 2 years running. No excuses this season MUST reach the final in CL.
