If you put in a gif link ending with .gif, it will show. Anything else, it won't.

You just need to right click on the gif and open in new window. Right now you're tring to make the album into a picture instead of the gif.

Sounds possible, it's only happened a few times and I think last time antivirus said the page was called "4smileys" or something like that, so maybe an image from there.
