I would'nt say that, id say we dont know much because he plays in south america and lets be honest iam not going to purposefully look for a stream to watch south american football at 3 in morning.
I agree with your last point tho, you definitely do need proven quality, especially if Nasri or Cesc leaves or even both.
But i would'nt use stats a measuring stick, considering people like Iniesta are around with awful stats.

Alvarez is part Italian so he probably saw Inter as a more attactive move for him; an Italian club with a few famous Argentinian players. What could be better than that for him?

nah, we offered less. Contract was similiar but our fee was less, the same reason why roma dropped out of the race.
