How can any of our players be up for this? Two days after the final day of the Premier League. If I was a player and told to go play a post-season friendly - in another country no less - some 48 hours after the season's finished I'd think whoever is telling me that is taking the piss.

and 12 of those 48 hours to be spent in travel.

Im glad we play something, I get watch Liverpool at home after my semester ends.

The players will be exhausted. I can't see how anyone in our management saw that this was a good idea.

Nah Suarez has Confederation Cup soon with Uruguay right after the season. Play Borini up front by himself I say. Assaidi and Sterling on the wings.

Oh yeah. Forgot about that.

In that case Borini should play upfront. Playing Assaidi doesn't make sense imo, since he's leaving next season. Rather play Morgan.

So many players better than him in the U21 squad imo.

Morgan is more developed than the other lot though. I'd prefer playing Morgan or even Adorjan instead of Ibe, Sinclair, Teixeira etc.

And Morgan is something we've lacked for a long time, a legitimate poacher. He may not be as technically skilled as many of his U21 teammates but as we've seen there is certainly something to be said for having a player who's skilled at getting into dangerous positions and putting the ball in the net, regardless of how well they can dribble or pick a 30 yard pass.

Oh well, would've loved to get to see the lads play an extra match. But this was a stupid idea in the first place.
