Spanish league is a boring two-horse race

Year in and year out, it's always the same two teams at the top, Barca and Real,, wonder how the fans can stand that. There is no whiff of a third contender for league champion, all the rest have absolutely no chance.

I wonder how the top two teams there maintain their sharpness with all the weak opponents

like betis who arsed whooped and bent united sideways? like that?

Or the way Atletico made mince meat of chelsea.

Or the way bilbao tore united a new asshole.

look at the league, the rest of the league had to sell to epl to balance books, leaving madrid and barca with more power

apart from el classico, what other la liga team can scare anyone in UCL ( nobody take the europa serious)

I am a madrid fan, don't wanna turn this into a league fight though. but la liga needs some major rebranding

But anyway, in response to your weak argument, in ligue1 we have Marseille ready to challenge once it gets a bit stronger, bundelisga yes I agree, serie A is full of equal challengers to juve in the form newly powered Napoli and traditional big clubs Milan and Inter, for EPL who doesn't agree that Man U is in the same tier as city n chel AND at the same time with a bit of luck and powerup Arsenal n liverpool n Spurs are hot on the heels of the top 3

So there, now we know who's the real troll

It's not boring, however yeh, I think there needs to be another elite team/s in La Liga.

Unfortunately other La Liga teams just can't compete financially with the top two. Hopefully some rich owner takes over a club/s.

Im sure its just waiting to happen. Surprised it hasnt happened sooner tbh, when La Liga could brag about winning the CL with Barcelona all the time.

Except they aren't. Barca and RM are completely on a different level to the rest of the division.

And how the Hell can you claim the Premier League is a two horse race between Man City and Chelsea when both have only one league title in the last seven seasons?!?!

The gap is so enormous that a takeover of another Spanish club doesnt sound so enticing for a rich guy also considering the benefits Madrid and Barca are already enjoying.
La Liga is a poorly run league.Maybe even worse than Serie A which is terribly run league also.Hence why its not surprising to see wealthy Arabs and Russians invading these 2 leagues.

The clubs that get the owner have to make sure the owner is reliable and he'll be committed to the club.

Malaga's owner apparently lost interest.

Because he knows its going to be enormously difficult to break the Barca-Madrid monopoly.

And ofcourse he'll lose interest when two clubs are receiving 140m in TV money and the next club is getting a paltry 40m.

Yeh but I'm sure he knew it would be difficult before he joined. The clubs need an owner that will adapt to the club and will be patient.

Bundesliga is the worst for me. That's why I never had much interest in it despite being German. If once in a decade another team bar Bayern manages to assemble a proper team, Bayern will just buy their best players. Proper 1 horse league. In La Liga you have at least 2 title contenders on EQUAL terms. In Bundesliga Bayern can spend as much as they want and attract every Bundesliga player they want whereas the next best team to Bayern keeps losing their best players every season, partly to Bayern: Sahin, Kagawa, Götze, Lewandowski (soon) and most likely Gündogan and Hummels as well within the next 2 seasons.

I cannot imagine for one second that a billionaire benefactor cares about TV deals. The money a club makes is pretty much negligible when they're pumping in excess of £100m a year into a project.

Hey, at least there has been some interest from foreigners this summer! An English dude recently bought AC Monza Brianza 1912 who plays in the fourth tier. He says he wants them to be cool, and follow the model of Udinese etc. lol

With strong FFP rules being enforced,any new owner coming in needs to basically generate the money he's spending.
If he's spending large amounts from his own pockets,he needs to generate an equal amount and that wont be possible just through sponsorships and matchday revenue.While i'm saying that why would an owner would want to start with a clear disadvantage which this TV deal provides ? With all their ego i'm sure they wouldnt want to bend down to Real or Barca.
Like it or not Real and Barca have too much influence and power in this league.Not to mention both are top 2 highest revenue generating clubs and look set for the long term hence why its going to be difficult for another Spanish club to topple them anywhere in the near future even with all the money.
