I was thinking the same thing when it happened. Originally thought he did a cheeky slap of Vertoghen's face, but then saw it was more malicious than that. Overall though, it seemed to bring the most out of Torres, and apparently Vertoghen doesn't play well angry.

Ugh.... The game when shed and the entire Chelsea gl board say that Torres had an excellent game and I miss it, and on top of that gets a red card.... This always happens, back in AVB days he scores a few goals then bam red card and he goes to shit, in RDM days he scores a few goals then bam red card and he goes to shit, now he had a good game and bam red card.... He has a curse on him

not in a game, but in the AVB days he scored a prem league goal, then in the champions league scored a brace, then back in the prem league he got a red card and then after that slumped. Torres scratched him in the face and was lucky not to get a straight red right then and there. You can't go on about 'poor Torres' when every red card he's gotten since joining has been completely his own doing.
