Probably you guys have already read it:

After appearing in the League Cup tie with Middlesbrough on September 23, he was dropped by Rodgers from the squad to face Everton in the derby.
His well-publicised walk-out and later injury problems meant he did not appear in a Liverpool starting 11 again until the home league draw with Arsenal on December 21.
He has been ever-present since then, a run of six wins, four draws and just the one defeat, that extra time League Cup heart-breaker to Chelsea.

Re: Mamadou "Kirikou" Sakho
That too in that game, he went off injured !!
I am just loving him right now. The way he waves Coutinho to move forward when he collects the ball in 56th minute and was driving forward with it to attack, just shows how much he has grown into confidence. I think he is leading our defense right now and has bigger balls than even Lucas and Hendo to play the ball forward when under pressure.

Re: Mamadou "Kirikou" Sakho
Completely agreed with every single point Heil. He's been so good. His passing in fact is a strength rather than a weakness this season. He absolutely fizzes the ball to our dangermen Coutinho, Sterling, Lallana.
Of course because he tries those risky passes he gives the ball away in dangerous positions but it's an occupational hazard we have to live with and I'm fine with it.

Re: Mamadou "Kirikou" Sakho
Should be next captain IMO.
Captains are players who don't go hiding when things are rough...not those who point and yell at referee.

Re: Mamadou "Kirikou" Sakho
Did you know that was the first game we've lost with Henderson as Captain? Give me a break. He's been putting this team on his back. Henderson is class, and absolute captain material. Henderson should, and will be, our next captain.
That said Sakho is class.

Re: Mamadou "Kirikou" Sakho
I'm so, so glad that Sakho is finally delivering. It was so hard last season. He got few chances and didn't do great with those. This shows; if you really have talent, it will show sooner or later .
That said, do you guys think he will do equally well in a 2-CB formation?

Re: Mamadou "Kirikou" Sakho
With a decent partner and shielding from the midfield yes. He does well for France in a 2 CB formation, but again their midfielders are very strong defensively and his partner is usually Varane so...
I'm really hoping to see a 4 man backline against Arsenal. A reimagining of the team again to try and kickstart the stretch drive. I would actually really like to see us line up a diamond formation again:
Johnson, Manquillo or Can I guess manning the rightback position.

Re: Mamadou "Kirikou" Sakho
^ we're not going to ditch 3-4-3 after our first loss in 3.5 months mate.
Also, I use Sakho as the barometer of people's opinion on football.
Those who say he's shit with the ball and can't pass .....and those who actually watch games and see he usually averages 90% pass completion and 80% of his passes goes to midfielders as opposed to fellow defenders.
The myth about him being bad on the ball is the biggest in the world. If that performance on Sunday doesn't erase it, nothing ever will. He's our second most confident player on the ball after Coutinho.

Re: Mamadou "Kirikou" Sakho
I think it's because he looks awkward as hell on the ball that people have the perception that he can't pass or dribble. At first glance I kept thinking why is a footballer so afraid of a football? But then you (slowly) realize that he pulls it off a lot more times than not.

Re: Mamadou "Kirikou" Sakho
Sakho has lost 25 games through injury. Last season he missed around three month through injury as well. Does he have some fitness issues or is our medical team messing up???

Re: Mamadou "Kirikou" Sakho
He does seem a little injury prone, judged by the overall length of his absences and types of injuries.

Re: Mamadou "Kirikou" Sakho
What "form"
He's done exactly what he done last season.
Played average / and then looked "solid" in the last couple of months and thus had a "great" season last year.
Schneileden / Wanyama / Fonte made him look better than he was. The sooner you accept it, the better.
He still doesn't have Skrtel's trust by the way. The amount of times Martin is out of position because he tries to "cover" Dejan is insane.

Don't you know RA is an expert on every team and how they set up. Just listen to his excellent analysis on Ajax.
