Don't waste money buying weapons and armour, I made that mistake in the beta, you level so fast that anything you buy will be obsolete after a couple of missions.

You get lots of free gear doing missions and as rewards, keep on swapping it around for better stuff until you reach level 20, then spend all that cash you've saved up on the best gear.

Doing them both at the same time is the fastest way. PvP and PvE have their own sets of bounties, so whenever you go into story/explore mode or into the crucible, go to the bounty guy and pick the bounties which will match what you're doing at the time.

In the beta, I made the mistake of filling up my bounty list with PvP bounties, even though I spent most of my time in PvE, and I was wondering why the bounties weren't progressing

With PvE bounties and story mode, you level up real fast though, I'm already level 9 and I've only played 4 hours. That's why I said don't waste money on buying gear, I barely have time to use the stuff before I find something better.

Nah man, Dinklage well phoned in his performance. Bungie had to call him in to re-record his lines because people during the Alpha complained of how poor his performance was.

Now his performance has gone from utter shit to just plain old shit.

Yeah Dinklage sounded awful in the first run through, sounded really disinterested. You'd be shocked after watching some of his GOT scenes

I'm not surprised people are raging tbh, Destiny isn't the game many were expecting. They tried to convince themselves that the Beta wasn't fully representative of the game, when it clearly was, now they mad

I lowered my expectations significantly, so I'm not disappointed. The fact that the story is shit and the missions are uber repetitive doesn't faze me, the beta told me that would be the case.

Loads of people say that to me about Betas

Let's be brutally honest with ourselves, Betas are very close to the finished product. After the beta is done a the devs wouldn't/can't possibly overhaul 50% of the game ffs

This game is incredible. I haven't had this much fun playing a game since COD4.

Me and few mates had some unreal banter filled last 4 hours lol. I didn't even realise it was nearly 1.

The story is done in a unique way so I can understand plebs not liking it. But the story is really solid so far. Eventhough the game's purpose was not about story. It's based on online elements.

Some of the enemies are ridiculous though. You will hate the captain and the Wizard 100%.

btw tom you remember asking about the player and fighting a horde? it's there. Called strike. waves and waves of enemies after you.

And the best thing I like about Destiny is that the enemies actually are clever. I mean REALLY CLEVER. You can't camp They will come from behind.

They actually dodge your bullets like you would dodge theirs.

Level 7 now. It's pretty difficult to level up at times.

So far the game is 8.9/10. Will rate it again in a week.

Strike is amazing

Gotta ecbo you lads here. Game is actually quite good so far. People are making the mistake of thinking you need a buddy to get through the tougher missions when in fact you just need to team up with folks already playing the same mission.

This game has serious potential. Too early to tell whether it truly lived up to the hype though.

Me and my mate were in one map, and there was this other random guy. It was pretty amazing how he adapted to us and it felt like he was one of us lol. Great understanding and chemistry.

Too tired to play anymore tonight but will play with the GL crew soon.

The strike on the moon is bullshit, the bosses are more bullet spongy than the Devil Walker, and the number of waves you have to face is ridiculous. My fireteam was useless and bailed halfway through because of the difficulty, I tried to solo the rest of it, but the final boss pissed me off.

So now, I'm rolling on Venus.

Complain about what? The Strikes? Nah, it was one of the major criticisms out of the beta, having to face wave after wave of enemies whilst Ghost is hacking, before fighting a bullet spongy boss. It's the exact same structure that is used in the story missions,  it seems Bungie designed PvE around it, the problem is that it starts getting old.

If the Raid is just filled with hours of waves of enemies and bullet sponge bosses, then I'm not taking part in that shit. At least strikes and story missions are relatively short, killing waves of enemies and bullet sponge enemies for 4+ hours will not be fun.

Anyway, back to Venus.

Jesus Christ, there is huge backlash to this game on the internet. People really expected something different. I'm still not sure why, since Bungie gave us 1/4 of the game as a beta
