wilshere is new messi

I still maintain wilshere has what it takes to be the new messi. Some people will disagree with me but the proper way to justify that is by correct analysis. I don't believe in statistics they don't matter.

This thread is not because wilshere scored and assisted yesterday. This is here because of his

1. Ball control
2. Burst of pace
3. Ability to take on defenders
4. Composure in front of goals(needs improvement)
5. And ofcourse his ability to play that final ball

Provided he gets protection from behind his best position is behind giroud. If he plays in that position he will be a class act.

I request the admin not to delete this thread like RealGunner did the previous. Its the next messi thread. People will come here and post he won player of the year awards. They will post how england won the world cup bcoz of him. The world will cry out wilshereeeeeee wilshereeeee you have been found.

None of those 5 abilities you listed is anywhere near as good as Messi's. And not to mention Messi has 1000x the finishing and dribbling. At Wilshere's age, Messi already won the Balon D Or and led Barcelona to six titles. So, calm down a bit. Wilshere is a top prospect but next Messi   

cant even compete with an injured Messi.

No one knows how Wilshere would do if he was given Messi's role. However it's a fact that Wilshere has good bursts of acceleration, good dribbling and passing.

This is actually a better than all the '10 year old from x country is the next Messi' suggestions.

It's a wrong comparison though. Wilshere might have similarities with Messi with this dribbling but he is far more of an Iniesta than Messi. Wilshere won't be banging 80 goals a year lol

He's more of an Iniesta because he plays in midfield. However if he played up front then we'd get to know how good his finishing is. This season his finishing's been fine whenever he has scored. If Wilshere was a basic dribbler, I doubt this comparison would be made. But his dribbling and acceleration is a lot like Messi's at times.

Not denying that. His drop of the shoulder, centre of gravity and burst of acceleration is messi-esque but I have seen enough of him to say he can't be a Messi. He has added goals this season but he is one of those who rather give an assist than score. Messi on the other hand is a primary goal scorer and that's his no 1 job and role in the team.

Barca B is full of Wilsheres.

Usually when I see him dribble it ends with him losing the ball though.
Great technique, and passes, and so forth, and good looking, and English, but he should cut down that dribbling a bit. His decision making for when to make a dribble is not very good. imho.
