He's a good defender. Not anywhere near WC yet IMO. Makes up his for his brainfarts with decent passing and overall understanding with chiellini and barzagli.

In the 2nd set tier of top defenders I think

If we move to a back 4, he is less suited to that. We would have too many CBs in a back 4 system and he would bring a lot of money without really decreasing the quality of the starting XI

Makes sense, so long as we don't replace him. Especially not with Ranocchia that useless *bleep* *bleep*

It was a counter attack and he pushed up for the ball but didn't get it, the wing backs didn't have enough time to drop back, and was that the same play that Pirlo gave away the ball?

Not sure ,it was one of Pirlo or Vidal IIRC.

Bonucci was clearly at fault on that goal (if it was him), I thought it was Barzagli but whoever just stood and watched Gervais should be blamed more, notwithstanding i don't think Bonucci was the worst player on the pitch,

Marchisio, Pirlo and Vidal should equally share that post....

It may not be entirely his fault but that was some amateurish defending/anticipation from him on the goal.

But that's not an issue if you don't use a sweeper or a back 3

He's the most error prone CB we have, and we really should move on from our system.
