My 2 cents:

Safe to say that even if it was not a penalty it was still a Demichellis red because of a tackle on the last man that made no contact with the ball whatsoever. It was also a very tricky call so I don't think the ref can be accused of incompetence.

Barca were not awarded a handball inside the box and an goal that was wrongfully called onside. Clearly whatever impact was gained from the wrongfully called penalty was balanced out by these wrong calls.

I can somewhat agree with this. The biggest problem in todays game is trying to make games more even, more interesting, not giving enough importance refereeing correctly. Although he's deluded by magnificently if he thinks ref helped Barca in this match.

Every problem of today's negative discussions could be eliminated by video refereeing.

Don't see what Pelle is complaining about. The way I see it there were three high profile calls (handball, penalty, offside). 2 of them went City's way and 1 went Barca's way.

I don't see that and frankly even if he is offside we'd be talking centimetres which won't be clear from that image anyway.

Well I didn't think that image was conclusive anyway which was why I said "seemingly". Anyway I agree with gansos point, kompany got that badly wrong

Great. Looks like the first contact is made outside the box but it is extended up to a metre inside. For me 70% it isn't a penalty. Especially given that a red was shown as well.
