Pellegrini failed so bad here. Man City played better and looked likelier to score with 10 men when they subbed more attacking players on and tried to seriously take the game to Barca. Pellegrini trying to play it safe at home is like he was still the manager of Malaga.

Most of the teams , if not all , have had the same approach. You can't blame him for being cautious imo. At least he doens't have to think too much for the 2nd leg now.

In reality it should have been 0-4 with correct refereeing. I hate when games get evened out like this.

Come on harmonica, thats not a penalty. I can understand the ref thought it was, since he kept touching messi foot in the air, into the box. But that was not a penalty. The balance was made when the onside goal got rejected. Dont worry, we progressed dude. whats ur problem lol

The exact moment Demichelis decided to make the tackle he was out. no way he touch the ball so it's a red a least . now, it's unfortunate that it wasn't a real penalty but guess what ? We all are waiting for this holy video to be allowed to help the ref, no need to dwell on it.

This was a good game in the first, its unfortunate about the red card, it just turned into meh for Barca. I am again to DISAPPOINTED IN THEIR APPROACH afterwards! It feel like Tata whispered to MEssi to stop and just keep ball or something! We just relaxed like we won the tie already ffs! Man C were playing better individually. Sometimes its like we dont know how to play vs 10 LOL?

So glad Alves surprise goal in the end there to make it 2-0.... since we were happy 1-0 vs 10 men for a half, fking joke. We are mentally weak or there is just something wrong with us in some situations. In the CL I always say we are just WAY TO CAUTIOUS in the first leg all the time. Barca would have been happy with 0-0 thats clear, and I hate it. We should take more risks and show more hunger in these first legs....

Its clear Neymar is important to us, its good to know he can play on the right to link with Alves as well now

Respect to Man C, they have grown a lot in this comp now its great o see. Most of them had a top game, just unlucky.

Oh well, they will go for it in the second leg, which should make it more very entertaining and goals!

It's not against you but I hate this excuse so much ( i used to use itfew years back ) but now it irks me so much.

But it is true i seen the picture that was a wrong offside.

Anyway, good result. But not really happy with the team yet. They seamed happy with 0-0. at least that what it looked to me.

Most teams have not got the quality of Manchester City. Most teams would be favorites to lose to Barcelona, but this was supposed to be a really tricky fixture for them. It could have been the final, like Martino said in his presser. And it was City's home game. Yet Pellegrini goes into the game like he doesn't think he can challenge Barcelona. Yet once they went a man down and Pellegrini was able to throw caution to the wind, then City looked like they could ask Barca some questions. City should have gone into this game with a bossing attitude, yet they went into it like measly mice. Pellegrini failed.

Play like shit - win 2-0 on City's hometurf.
