Another report on Berlusconi selling Milan?
Bloomberg claims President Silvio Berlusconi has hired a company to seek potential buyers for Milan.
The American financial analysts reported this evening that Berlusconi had brought in Lazard Ltd to send out marketing documents to new investors.
It is claimed this “process isn’t public” and Bloomberg also noted a spokesman for Berlusconi’s company Fininvest assured the club is not for sale.
Forbes Magazine valued Milan at $945m, even though they have dropped to 10th place in Serie A so far this season.
Berlusconi has been at the helm since rescuing the club from bankruptcy in 1986, but has recently made changes with his daughter Barbara taking over as joint-CEO with Adriano Galliani.
There have long been rumours of attempts to sell a large chunk of the club’s shares to investors from Dubai.
Fans have also urged new investment after venting their frustration at what they consider to be a low-budget approach to the transfer market.

I just hope these entities that want Milan prove to be really interested in the club, and not just another sports club added to their collection. I'd be fumed if they were to disregard the club.

Why is are we exactly 'looking' for buyers? Was'nt Emir of Qatar really interested? Or does Berlusconi want to have some shares in the club still?

This has been mentioned in Di Marzio's site today.Apparently that 'Bloomberg' source is thought to be very reliable.

Berlusconi wrote:"I want to reassure the fans, I'm not going to sell Milan."

I guess Silvio is just looking for some heavy investor and take all the glory while still being the owner.
