While Mourinho will probably end badly. Usually people with big mouths and no class are disdained once they no longer bring the results. It's already pre-ordained for this pathetic excuse of a human being.
Mourinho has the best win % ratio in the league EVER.
He's also won as many league titles as Wenger in 1/5th of the games Arsene has managed.
Wenger will no doubt go down as a legend in the PL, but Mou definitely will too. All of Chelsea's success is pretty much down to Jose.
EDIT: Well, he's won one less. But he has 800+ games to get another one. He's pretty much the favourite to win it this season, too.
In a space of less than 4 years with a cash laden injection of money yearly. Allegri has the 3rd highest winning percentage for Milan yet isn't even in their Top 5 managers. Skewed statistics.
Unless we're forgetting Ranieri who built the team, Di Matteo who won Abramovic's actual target and of course, Roman Abramovic himself.
In completely different circumstances that do not justify even half of the difference between them and the outliers included.
On-Topic: No surprise Mourinho is coming out with another inwardly passive-aggressive comment that typifies that peasant that he is really is as it doesn't surprise me given that Setubal is like the Murcia of Portugal.
Wenger best ignore these comments.

Wenger provoked Mourinho to make those "specialist in failure" comments. Wenger is cunning enough to cry wolf These new comments in the OP were not even a dig, honestly, look at the video.

different circumstances.

Roman not Jose.
Different circumstances? OK but still 3 league titles and 0 Champions League for Wenger in 18 years is pretty bad for a top manager. Not sure how many excuses you can make up for those numbers.
Yes, it's ultimately down to Abramovich, but Jose is equally responsible. You can't just buy trophies, you need to assemble a world class winning squad, and that's hard to do with a team that hasn't won a lot in its history. And the squad Jose build was responsible for the CL success.

Roman is a major part, but Jose is already considered a legend, whether you are butt hurt or not.... Jose's influence since 2004 on Chelsea, all the way to their CL success and Europa success. Ain't no denying.

It's not all about trophies. I'd rather support a team that plays entertaining football than a more boring style. Trophies are just bonuses.

To be more specific, it does for a top club.
If you support a top club, the number one thing is you expect is trophies.
How long your manager has been there, what type of football you play etc etc isn't as important as winning trophies.

Those two factors you listed are not important at all. Trophies bring money and prestige to clubs...that's all that matters to the club.

except.. not really
Chelsea's trophies didn't bring them money a rich guy did
Arsenal earns a profit per year despite lack of trophies

bit ironic considering your trophies came from money rather than the other way round?

Wenger >>> Mourinho
for me. But I know it's difficult if not impossible to back that up in terms of tangible achievements.

By 'all about trophies' I meant that's what teams/managers get judged on when everything is said and done.

I'm paraphrasing but Valdano once said "The team that doesn't win trophies has to fill the gap with a story, something intangible."
In essence he's 100% right.

What has that got to do with the topic in hand? Who buys the club isn't the manager's concern. I'm talking about this from the manager's perspective.

And how can a manager win trophies while the club is financially crippled and not afford to sign the best players around without selling their own?

Again he means that if you don't win you have to change the narrative. Like yeah we didn't win this cup buuuuuut look at X, Y, Z let's talk about that instead.
Intangible success has it's place in sports but it sort of needs trophies to validate it's existence.
