You mean post 1973 right not pre 1973? Because if not I am really confused now.

And I'm also pretty sure that the 2013 Wolverine film also never happened because Jean never dies. Unless when Wolverine wakes up it is not 2023 but much earlier than that.
And there is still Stryker's aging. This could be brushed of as Origins Wolverine being non-canon but they showed some of it's events in Wolverine's flashbacks when he saw Stryker (getting injected with adamantium, Sabretooth smashing his bone claws.)
Are you sure that the year of striker is 71? and 81? He look like 45 in that one, which means he'd be 75 in X2?

Stryker recruits Wolverine and Sabretooth during the Vietnam War. X Men movies wikia says that they are recruited between 69-71.

That would create some holes yeah. But Origins and x3 never happened anyways according to Singer.

A really rubbish movie I had high hopes for it too. What a let down.

Lawless- 7/10. Shia Lebeouf movie about 3 brothers who own a secret distribution of Moonshine beer. Set in the 30's. Quality movie.
Labor Day- 6/10. decent but implausible script about a single mom and child who are held hostage by an escaped prisoner. Things start to happen. If I reveal it, it will spoil the movie.
One of them tearjerker movies.

Fault in Our Stars (2014)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2582846/?ref_=nv_sr_1
A decent movie. Director was trying to force the tears I felt. But still worth a watch.
And acting was top notch. Shailene Woodley
Rating 7/10

I'm watching Closer for the 37th time, and I REALLY REALLY REALLT CAN'T UNDERSTAND....how Clive Owen didn't win an Oscar for his performance.
One of the greatest movie performances of all time.
What a movie man...it never gets old. Everytime I watch it, I discover something new. What a movie. The greatest dialogue ever. I just downloaded the dialogue (73 pages), I'm gonna print it tomorrow and publish it in a book, so I can just read it on daily basis. It's sheer gold.
Dark as hell....disturbing...but so raw and real !

Re: The Movie House - Part 4
I had to go online and read about it. I got the basic gist myself but there were some things that made absolutely no sense like the blue box, or the scary man, or the theater scene.
Found a vid on youtube that explained everything pretty well and I gotto say it's amazing how the director created a movie like that.
The scenes between Naomi Watts and dat brunette though
9/10. Recommend for a good mind *bleep*
M69 did you see Enemy with Gyllenhaal?

- Couldn't stop thinking that it will have some sort of a twist like that at the end.

Enemy is absolute quality.
Had me going 'wtf' the entire time I watched it. I have to admit, I had to go to IMDB afterwards to read about it to connect the dots, it's only then I realised what a masterpiece this movie was.
Same director who did Prisoners < quality movie too.

Thought Enemy was a somewhat mediocre movie, great *bleep*, but I wasn't thoroughly entertained while watching it, and no reading after watching it will make up for how bored I felt while watching it.

Yeah, I thought Enemy was decent but if I have to watch a 30 min video to fully understand it then I'm not really impressed. Especially since it wasn't that entertaining to begin with.

Re: The Movie House - Part 4
Certain movies you just have to be in the right mood to watch them and fully enjoy. If you're in the mood for a rom-com or a comedy or something and you decide to watch Enemy then you'll probably be bored as shit.
I remember watching Dead Poets Society back in the day and had to stop at 10 mins or so because I wasn't in the mood at all and bored the shit outta me. Then watched it a couple of months later and fully enjoyed the masterpiece.

If so I am a bit surprised that after watching it you still couldnt find this movie entertaining, may be entertaining is not the right word, rather spellbinding.

Re: The Movie House - Part 4
Recently watched Ferris Bueller's Day Off, a 1986 American coming-of-age comedy film. It's one of the most innocent and light hearted films I have ever seen and I loved every minute of it. I became sad when I realized the movie was in it's final part, I didn't want it to end at all. The Cameron character and Ferris's sister showed fantastic growth throughout the movie and all the actors played their roles very well. Maybe I liked it so much because the movie was very relatable. The part where Ferris says about him and his best friend going to different colleges and not see each other any more really hit a chord with me.
Recommend the movie to any one who likes to enjoy life.
'Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it!'

Yeah, that was it. Don't get me wrong. I liked the explanatory video and it made me appreciate the movie more. I just kept thinking how asinine it was that I needed a 30 minute explanation to really get it. And since the movie was only decent to begin with I didn't really feel like it was something for me to watch multiple times to truly understand it.

Re: The Movie House - Part 4
Enemy imo is quite a masterpiece by Villeneuve. It's not like it's the first film to be made that makes some things difficult to understand, and it's not as if the plot is entirely crazy so much so that you can't follow the story. I understand that it might be of underwhelming speed and have a lack of action, but it just had the right amount of intrigue to make it work for me.
Can see it getting cult status after a few years.

Has anyone here seen The Equalizer and The Maze Runner already?
Really been short on time but ever since I saw the trailers I've been wanting to see these two.

Just came home from The Equalizer, good action movie with a visual style that was great at times, but really went too far. Entertaining enough to not feel like the time was wasted, which was what I was going in expecting.

Re: The Movie House - Part 4
There's a "Tetris" movie in the works.

http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2014/09/30/tetris-movie/?mod=e2tw
“It’s a very big, epic sci-fi movie,” Threshold’s CEO Larry Kasanoff tells Speakeasy exclusively. “This isn’t a movie with a bunch of lines running around the page. We’re not giving feet to the geometric shapes.”
Kasanoff’s best known for adapting the “Mortal Kombat” games to the big screen – 1995’s “Mortal Kombat” grossed $70 million according to Boxoffice Mojo, with the 1997 sequel, “Mortal Kombat: Annihilation,” grossing $35 million. For Threshold, they’re hoping to build off the brand’s notoriety and legacy.

Will probably see the Maze Runner this weekend with some friends. I know almost nothing about it and I'm totally ok with that at this point.
