not necessarily

lucas is an out and out winger, right? although jese can play there, he is a striker. he may be benzema's backup this season.

but it's interesting to see what system benitez will play. he is also interested in brining back cheryshev, who is an out and out left winger

Jese can also play as wide forward on the left. I think that position suits him better.

Madrid already has Navas, who will most likely be starting. Or maybe Benitez isn't convinced Navas can do the job.

the reason being benetz thinks we have the best squad in the world, well we dont, we can always improved.

shouldve tried harder for de gea. and sold and replaced ramos with marquenhos etc.

We should've accepted that 150m bid for bale, also instead of cheszezceve and the new RM/RW we brought, we should've have brought some elite wing talent, say sterling or reus or felepe anderson etc.

We also needed to sell Illara and loan the brazilian DM and brought vidal or some other young talent or even keep the brazilian.

we have yet to sell coentrao and find replacement, we are not even linked to any lb's, we they are being snatched away, rahman baba and alex sandro etc.

We lost morata, and now chika, we should at least brough replacement, either bring morata back or buy some other young talent (embolo) or buy some experienced backup (RVP, falcao) whoever is cheaper.

so far this is like the worst transfer window for us, like everybody is sleeping and benetz is in dream land.

thats not a whole new team, we still have core, its called improvements and future proofing.

we only need a Modric back up (Veratti) and a a back up CF (Llorente) and we are good to go. Even if we sold Bale we wouldn't need to buy a replacement because we have superior players in our squad anyways. Coentrao can stay provided he doesn't keep getting fake injured all the time

agreed with hala nothing is wrong with the team, carlo made it look really bad cause he wouldn't rotate, but the team doesn't need more starters who won't start.

Verratti can play more positions not only as Modric's backup

if we sign verratti (which i doubt we will) he won't be a back up to anyone, he'll start in the dm position except during rotations. But frankly, for whatever reason, i don't think rafa wants any signings. he probably feels the squad is deep enough to compete, or wants to give everyone a chance...i just hope he's not making a mistake, because in this league there's very little time for trial and error, every point is valuable, and the market hardly has anyone decent available in january

starters want to start, not rotate and fill gaps, that why its important to get the best out of illarra and casemiro, who don't mind the bench but can do the job.

got a feel casemiro will become regular starter.
