Re: Manchester United 2014/2015 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Van Gaal says Falcao picked up a knock, on Friday, in training, and thus is a doubt for tomorrow. James Wilson, played for the reserves Friday night, you'd think he'd pull out of the squad to make the bench on Sunday if true. So hopefully this is van Gaal trying to pull a few mind games of his own. Would give him an excuse to carry on with 4-3-3, which he called our best performance of the season. Really hope Falcao makes it though, even if we have to play a diamond.
Although this part is a bit interesting:
Basically confirming 4-3-3?

Although this part is a bit interesting:
"It is difficult because we are playing [games] already, that’s difficult but we have played him because I like the way he was playing so we play with two strikers. Now I have to choose between two strikers, even three because [James] Wilson can also play, the younger player."
Basically confirming 4-3-3?

if falcao is indeed injured the stars aligning themselves for mata to start as a striker it looks like. mata as a no.9 can be deadly plus he will be extra motivated for this clash. I am all for it.
wish van persie was the one who had picked up a knock instead.

Rob Dawson @RobDawsonMEN
Really strong rumours that Radamel Falcao will not be in the United squad today. Apparently suffered a foot injury in training on Friday.
Guessing same line-up as West Brom, then. Wouldn't mind playing a diamond, like Lumiere has with Mata up-front in the Robben role, because he makes good off the ball runs, but I think it'll be a 4-3-3.

Looks like we have an injury crisis. Not sure why Herrera has been benched, maybe unfit to start.

ya he probably is still feeling the effects of the rib injury and after last week when LVG had to take him off at half, doesn't want to take that risk vs chelsea tonight in case he isn't right.
training is different from a game when ur out there getting stuck in with players and bumping bodies...and herrera with his rib still not fully healed likely is still hesitant

Re: Manchester United 2014/2015 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Yea its better not to rush herrera if he isnt there 100% fit. Valencia too isnt there on the bench. So ...
janzuaj getting consecutive starts is a plus. Last match he was playing scared, even though he got back into the game in the 2nd half. So its like he is improving, his confidence. So it will do a world of good for him to start again today. Hope he will prove all those doubters wrong.
Smalling has to raise his game.
Important thing will be maintain shape for the 1st 20 mins, do not at all costs concede an early goal, otherwise we will be in trouble.
So... thats all i guess. Let's go buddies. ... Oh boy I am nervous for this one. Hope it wont turn ugly.

Good half. Reduced Chelsea to only one shot on target which came at the end
Mata, DiMaria and RVP with awful misses but the performance is encouraging.
Rojo and Blind have been really poor I think. The rest have all been good

Januzaj's pass to van Persie
Smalling's tackle
Rojo needs to stop shitting it, just be calm.
So much space down the middle Cahill is just running straight through. Fellaini knows he's playing CM right? Hopefully Herrera comes on soon.

According to Squawka Januzaj has created the most chances in the match with 2.

Fair result

Fellaini did a proper job today on Cesc, best game he's played in a United shirt by far

He played absolutely piss poor in the 2nd half but what a celebration. Thought Chelsea were much the better the team in the 2nd half, great to score the equaliser not playing well. Fergie stuff. Btw, think I was a little harsh on Fellaini earlier, very good performance from him

fellaini strategy working to perfection. Cesc a mere spectator today. LvG
And Januzajjjjjjj what a performance!!
we played without 3 of our starters and we nearly had them. We should have gone ahead in the first half really. mata I think his time here has now clearly ended. Feeling sorry for him.
This display Will give us a boost ahead of the derby with rooney, falcao, herrera and jones returning.

Brilliant from LvG: "Their GK was very good but I have seen a save of David de Gea...it.was.FANTASTIC. It is not a save their keeper made."

Re: Manchester United 2014/2015 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
yea I think lvg till we get a more accomplished CB should part ways with his left CB position for left footers and vice versa theory and play smalling and jones together next week. Rojo has to be eased into the side. He is looking vulnerable playing against big sides all too suddenly. If he again has a poor performance like he had today against Citeh, his confidence will take a hit, so bench him and play smalling as a LCB for once. Then against CP rojo can return.
