Herrera and his combination play is what has made Mata successful out wide...I know Mata is not a winger, but I'm saying why buy Firmino to hope he can play wide? LVG had no choice with Mata he was already in his squad when he arrived and happened to tinker and find a position for him out there because he was riding the bench before then because we don't play with a #10 which is what Firmino is as well.

it's not that I don't like Firmino it just seems like a silly buy...it will be Kagawa all over again...buy a #10...try playing him wide or as a CM :facepalm:

Ramos has asked to leave.

Looks like this transfer may happen.

Not a fan of his if I'm being honest, but he'll be an immediate upgrade on what we have.

Will bring that hardman, leadership, ball playing CB, goals from a defender that we badly lack.

Screams of short termism, but heck, we got the money and we're not afraid to spend it on already proven stars.

Agreed with it all, not a big fan of Ramos either. Smalling got crucified for that Man City game, and Ramos' disciplinary record is x10 worse.

Sneiderlin and one among Turan (least likely though) and Schweini would be simply awesome if we can pull them off. Hope though that the money quoted there is lesser than 25 for Schwein. He is injury prone. But then carrick is also injury prone. Hope their injuries wont coincide if we buy bastian. Very Happy

As for Ramos, what are the chances that we are looking to buy him as a RB ? Is he good there ?
