But the team brought on an 'ineligible' player at the end which meant they lost by default

The player in question had served his 2-3 game suspension however  it didn't count because they never registered him for the games he missed (Because there's no point registering a suspended player)

hyperbole on the relegation apart. But by god, I have watch every min of their games this season and their garbage. Thing is they where good enough to at least score once against Porto, if they had played the same lineup from the weekend game. No excuse to play with 3 DMs in both legs of the tie. Should have started the game with at one of Delaplace, Mendes, or Lopes.

They controlled the game against Lorient better playing this lineup.
