Wolfsburg won't win Europa League.

I think this might be his first ever goal for Wolfsburg?

Sevilla win 2-1 (Iborra and Denis Suarez; Giovani for Villareal) on the night and 5-2 on aggregate. They had done the hard work in the first leg and saw the second leg out in a controlled and professional manner.

30 games unbeaten at home in all comps now, too.

Besiktas, who gave Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool very tough games, have been dumbed out 5-2 on aggregate by Club Brugge.

Dynamo Kyiv, Napoli, Fiorentina, Wolfsburg, Sevilla, Zenit and Club Brugge are the confirmed quarter-finalists. Ajax vs Dnipro is going to extra time. Currently 1-1 on aggregate.

I suspect everyone will want Club Brugge.

Carrizo was responsible for all 4 goals in both legs. I'm not impressed with Wolfsburg, and Dost has completely failed to live up to the hype.

The ending of the Torino game was exciting, I only wish they had scored the clear header earlier and now we might be watching ET. But very proud of that team that consistently punch above their weight.

Why should Wolfsburg do anything more than they need? They won both legs in regular time and have to prepare for a taxing Bundesliga match in Mainz on Sunday.

The second placed team in the Bundesliga should defeat the 7th placed team in Serie A. But, I think they would find it difficult against a higher placed Serie A club, like no. 5 Fiorentina.

It has nothing to do with today , but in 1st leg Carrizo ( our GK) was their best player for example...
then they are beter than us , but I expected better., I wasn't impressed also in both matches

It just wasn't a dominant performance. Playing at home and with the record they have I expected them to be superior but they ended up winning, again, because of goalkeeper mistakes. I hadn't really watched Wolfsburg much this season so I simply expected more from them, considering their form.

Palalcio and Santon were our best players today ..
Palacio has scored 7 goals in last 8 matches, he doesn't look like th scrub of first half season but he lookes like back to his levels. Great match today ,worthy of old Palalcio . But he missed an easy chance on 1-1 in first leg ... Anyway I didn't wait different today , the qualification was lost in 1st half and Mancini will have to explain for Carrizo ..

Best Wolfsburg player in both matches was Daniel Caligiuri , impressed by him . Is he so good also in Bundesliga?

A German with Italian origins, on the other hand with that surname....

BC and Robes, what do you expect?

For all the hype and attention Wolfsburg  now suddenly get (people noticed them beating us I guess lol), they are as a club absolute newbies in Europe.
They have something like 60 European games IN THEIR HISTORY.

Compare that to Inter lol.

That is not without importance. You need a certain confidence and feeling of belonging to be good in Europe, Wolfsburg don't have that yet, just as they're only having their first consistent season since the Magath championship.
It's not like they are anything like an established top team..

Dieter Hecking is a brilliant man  he is the same fella who took Alemannia Aachen to different heights, getting them promoted to BL and then playing in the final of Pokal and managing to qualify for Europa League in the next season. They had eliminated many big teams on that Pokal run. I think this is his chance to show his talent in terms of trophies in his CV. Hecking  Molenation

Infact after 1st leg I wrote

Robespierre wrote:Not so impressed by Wolfsburg .
My sensation is they are a better team in Bundesliga than Europe , probably  because most number of their players aren't used to play in Europe and the experience is fundamental for these matches ( just yesterday we're talking about Motta. Scrub in Ligue One this year because he's finished, but great against Chelsea , he used to play these matches)

And yeah, he is pretty good in the Bundesliga, too.
