Acting was great this episode by everyone. Cisco is such a brilliant character and Wells' new role suits him so much too.

Joe's reaction when Zoom was holding barry at the police station was fantastic.

We finally saw the father-son moment barry should have had with Henry when he got out of prison.

Grodd's CGI always makes me laugh but it's the best they can do with that budget. Hope he isn't gone for good. Gorilla City at the end

It's entertaining and all, but I'm a bit dissapointed at this season.

I share the sentiment of Joe, who said in the first ep something like "leave me alone with the multiple universes, I'm still trying to digest the time travel thing"

So they opened up this multiple layered time travel paradoxical *bleep*, but then it's all solved because of the black hole? Just not think about it?
Move on to the parallel universe thing?

And also the parallel universe thing is handled VERY lazily.
So everyone has an exact counterpart, only the FLASH is some completely random other guy?
Why doesn't Barry for once get the idea to go to the other side? See how his version is doing? MEET HIS MOTHER?

Of course, Barry treats Patty like shit and generally doesn't care fantastic, smart and engaging girls are throwing themselves at him.

There is an alternate Barry Allen, he just wasn't the person that got powers... just the reverse of how the counterparts to Doctor Light and the others from Earth 2 got powers when the Earth 1 people didn't. It fits in just fine in that context.

And Barry isn't interesting in going over because he's not sure how he'd get back, or if there would be an attack while he was away. Zoom is using his superior control/powers to send the villains over while Wells and Jay were too focused on other objectives to consider it. Barry's been entirely focused on defending his city and his friends... hasn't really had the time or energy to ponder crossing over.

There's nothing particularly "lazy" about it, to be honest. It just doesn't fit with your specific view of it.

Well that wouldn't be very entertaining would it? Zoom, like many other villains, is vain and arrogant to the point where he likes to play with his food before eating it. And like other villains, it's a fatal flaw. As a pretty well oiled plot device though, it helps advance the story, elevate the drama and suspense,and of course keep everyone focused on him. He wants power and control as well as to be feared. What better way than to demonstrate how superior he is to everyone by making a mockery of the one meant to stop him?

He didn't simply want to kill the Flash, he wanted to destroy the city's belief in him and their collective hope first... his goal was to prove that he is the undeniably and definitively superior speedster. It's an ego thing (or at least, a cliche for depicting massive egos like that).

He was about to kill Barry when he got hit with the dart. The combined shock of actually getting hit and threat of the drug (or w/e) slowing him down enough to be captured led to him fleeing before he finished the job though.

Crossover episodes never disappoint. Vandal Savage looks like a solid villain. Needs more to his character than just killing Hawkgirl and Hawkman though, but I'm sure we'll know more about that.
