Re: The Bundesliga Thread
I think it's wonderful to see Thomas Schaaf getting his touch back. Doing fantastic work at Eintracht so far, while he looked pretty burnt out to me in his last years at Bremen.

Oh, I did watch, but I also watched Gladbach vs Köln and thus I was too busy to type here. Yann Sommer kept another clean sheet. <3Gil wrote:Can't believe GL didn't watch that Wolfsburg-Leverkusen game. Most definitely the craziest fecking game of the season.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Son is legit. Korea's best player by far.
Also, Bas Dost has been a real revelation. I remember a while ago people on GL called him nothing but a tap-in machine.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Yeah I remember being weirdly ridiculed when I said I thought Dost was talented. Not that I have a great track record about these kinds of things, I thought Marin was better than Müller in 2009...

Me hyping Yann Sommer obviously was spot on, though

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Dost is definitely the biggest revelation of the season. He's probably saved Wolfsburg at least €30m in transfer fees as well. Wonder if he can catch up (and overtake) Robben/Meier in the race for the Torjägerkanone.
It's going to be interesting to see the direction Allofs and VW take in the summer. Will they continue their strategy of purchasing established talent from abroad that needs polishing or will they chase after domestic prospects (Geis, Werner, Sule, Selke etc) this time around?

Apparently Mainz is about to sack Hjulmand, which I think is a bit strange. Seeing that they didn't start bad and also that he was lauded for being a perfect fit etc pp. It's only half a season, and Mainz are still ahead of Dortmund
New coach will be U23 coach Martin Schmidt, according to kicker..

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Meh, disappointing loss. Schalke has had some chances but can't really say they deserved more than Frankfurt.
Hopefully they were just saving energies for the Real match, that is really S04's most important game of the season, the reason why they hired RDM in the first place.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Nuri Sahin wwas lucky not to be sent off, by the way. The ref Aytekin obviously made a mistake there, but frankly, that mistake should be turned into the proper rule in future (and AFAIK TPTB want to discuss in the near future).

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Mickeyscrubyan needs to leave, the guy ruined 2 good counters and loses the ball all the time. Smh. He is atrocious. If BVB had a better #10 they would be in top 3 at least.
