Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015
I though Inter were holding out for euro 25m which would be GBP 16m.mr-r34 wrote:Ive heard we've had like 3 bids for the guy, just give them a offer they'll accept low balling only works when the club is desperate or the player is desperate, which isn't this case.

Yeah, hated it even more during Goal days as they usually put the figures in $. Anyway, I'm suddenly feeling quite upbeat.mr-r34 wrote:Might be, hate the whole pund / euro shit.

You shouldn't hate the £/€ thing now, the strong pound works in our favour
Or would work anyway, if we were buying outside of England...

Isn't that exactly what that rumour is saying we're trying to do? Where did Can, Sakho, Coutinho, Markovic, Moreno, Manquillo, Origi, Balotelli, Alberto, Aspas, Yesil, Assaidi and Ilori come from?
I mean the only domestic players we've bought are Sturridge, Lallana, Lovren, Lambert, Mignolet, Allen and I guess you could say Borini even though he came from Roma.
It's weird how he's actually brought in more players from abroad than he has from England yet that seems to be one of the biggest complaints around these parts.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015
No we sell Sterling to those scums from Manchester. Everything related to club will be burnt alive (in terms of value i mean) if we do that. Do you guys remember the whole Suarez thing, our owners wont do that no way.
If we are so worried about Sterling and his value both, may be we should sell him to club like Madrid and get him on loan for next 2 seasons Just a middle way who knows Sterling will actually sign a contract if he understands how shit he is compared to great players we have had .

Kovacic rumors are gathering momentum. GBP 18 mil (e 27 mil) is the stated price while our last bid was GBP 15 mil (e 24 mil). Please Ayre, don't screw this .

There's a rumour we're looking to sign Adam Bognan, 27, on a free transfer. The keeper's contract at Bolton expires this summer.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015
Man all these free transfers left and right. Are we really this skint?
Hopefully the idea is to spend most of the money on one marquee player. And hopefully it's not Benteke.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015
Its cool.
Milner is the right foot of Gerrard for free. Need that 25m for the left foot of Gerrard. 10m player for the head as well.
Ings at 4 or 5 million is as good if not better than Borini. Borini will leave for around the same price.
Bogdan is better than Jones, He played both legs of the FA cup final where we just couldn't score against him remember lads? Good at free and Jones is leaving for free as well.
So as of now, Assuming we get Ings and Bogdan its started well. We have enough money to splash on players with high values but average to above average wages.
If we dont then FSG out cuz then they are just trying to reduce their losses and fine tune their profit margins before we realize they are also money grabbing umricans ffs

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015
My main concern is Bogdan is/was the second choice GK for a second-tire team for much of the season. But he can still be good enough for a bit-part role and I don't have much against him.Nishy wrote:Bogdan is better than Jones, He played both legs of the FA cup final where we just couldn't score against him remember lads? I'm OK with signing the likes of Bogdan & Ings as long as we sign a quality striker (who isn't called Benteke).

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015
I like how Konoplyanka or whatever his name is, McAggers mate, is available for a free and we stay away. I mean, it's not like we were calling him a savior a year ago.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015
Our transfer strategy is indeed very very weird. We were dying to sign this player about 15 months ago and sent our CEO to a war zone to negotiate a deal for him on the dying minutes of the transfer window and yet now he's available on a free, now we don't want him

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015
Well, we don't know what's going on, now that he's free there will be many more clubs looking at him, some of which may offer him bigger wages and/or more game time or be otherwise just more appealing to him.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015
Which is still stupid.
We were prepared to buy Depay for 25m. So we clearly want an inside forward type. There's no doubt RS doesn't want to play under Rodgers anymore.
And he's free. ._.

It was Hank, the player's Trippier and he's not starting quality for us, imo.
Welcome, Ings, maybe he'll be a real surprise package...
