We need an entire new midfield; the ones we currently have are good back-ups with the exception of Mikel, Ramires and Oscar who are useless. Oscar is not pure garbage but he will hold us back so it would be wise to strike a deal with either PSG or Juve who have shown some interest perhaps in a deal to swap with Verratti / Ibra / Pogba.

We also need at least one technical striker to supplement our poachers in case we encounter one of the many good teams who can efficiently absorb and handle hoofballs.

It takes 1 good defender / player to mark a poacher but anywhere between 2 to 3 to mark a tech striker. We have to tip the balance of players to our favor. Right now, we cant beat 10men PSG in Europe and hardly 10men Southampton.

This is just the start, albeit a good one.

Let's see what Mourinho will change in his system as well.

Rob Green has been heavily linked to us. But more home grown players is obviously better.

I'd take Henderson, no doubt. He's a much better version of Ramires so he'd be a very handy player to have around, but it won't happen. He's about to become Liverpool's Captain and possibly even their new No.8.

Apparently we've made contact with a Brazilian youngster called Kenedy. His agent is Deco, so we're in the box seat to sign him, apparently.

Looks like a fast, tricky right winger with a decent shot. Apparently Fluminense want 9m pounds for him.

Perhaps something to watch over the summer.

Duncan Castles says we've only been scouting him but some Japanese sources say the deal is done.

I've since read that Deco is not the agent, but the agent is the same one as our Brazilian players.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Deco has a had in it, though.

If I remember correctly when we let Deco go to Fluminense we struck some deal with the club over 3 of there players, one being Wallace. That's where the link is from id assume.
