T-Bag and John Abruzzi were the best characters. if they are rebooting it I hope they cut The Company/Illuminati conspiracy bullshit. Just stick it to Lincoln being framed, a thug who was the perfect fall guy for the government.

I never could bring myself to watch "final break" but from what I read I thought he dies on screen in the movie?

Nah, they didn't actually show his death. Scofield just basically said he'd have to electrocute himself to open a door which would allow the others to escape. They just showed the sparks and no body.

I think if there was a prequel it'd have to be for the movie, which was the final episode.

Fox has confirmed that a Prison Break revival event series is in the works, with stars Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller both returning, according to EW.

“I would describe it as a bit of a sequel, it picks up the characters several years after we left them in the last season of the show,” Fox Chairman and CEO Dana Walden said at the Television Critics Association’s semi-annual press tour. “The brothers will be back. Some of the iconic characters from that show will be back. It definitely will address some questions that were set up at the end of the series and for a new audience… It’ll start after where we left the Scofields in the final season.”

That brings up some serious questions about Miller’s character, Michael Scofield, who died in the direct-to-video finale movie, The Final Break. Fox Chairman and CEO Gary Newman suggested that writer Paul Scheuring may chose to ignore The Final Break, either in part or as a whole.

“I don’t think he’s going to completely ignore what happened in that episode, but what he pitched to us was a very logical and believable explanation in the world of Prison Break for why are character’s alive and still moving around the world…He had a very detailed incredible story for why these characters become relevant again and why they’re back.”

I imagine Sucre, Michael & Linc will all be in it, tbh I can't remember who else even survived lol. Show won't be the same without T-Bag though.

Not gonna lie, I'm hyped for this. Even though I hated it after season 3.

Really interested to see what they do with it this time around. I like the fact that the main cast are back for it.

Fox’s nine-episode Prison Break revival has added Augustus Prew (The Borgias) and Rick Yune (Marco Polo) in major recurring roles, TVLine has learned.

Prew will play a character named Whip, who is described as funny, crazy (read: lethal) and pretty damn sharp. Yune, meanwhile, will portray Ja, a Korean identity thief whose disheveled appearance belies his genius.

“The story unravels on an international landscape — it’s not a domestic [plot],” Fox co-chariman/CEO Dana Walden recently shared. “We open on a very international contemporary-feeling story.”
