Based off what I saw against real madrid.

Mauri, Mexes, Montolivo should not be starting. Literally every time Montolivo touched the ball he made a mistake. Just really poor decision making.

Honda, De Jong, Bacca, De Sciglio all played really well.

It was too bad Bacca missed the chance he had.

There is no way Donarumma is just 16. He has been around since 2011 in the Primavera.

He has an older brother who was also a goalkeeper and played for the premavera.

Jack and Bert in midfield.. not sure how i feel about them being the pairing to NDJ, not too confident

Bert was a complete bystander, Jack at least tried some stuff, Honda has the turning speed of a cruise ship and is too slow for professional football. I feel sorry that Ely got stuck with Zapata, which brings me to Zapata, never seen a worse player bring the ball from defense, makes me wish we had Bonera back. Also, we lack a real creative player that can link the midfield (once we get one) to attack.

I don't think Mauri would have a positive impact in this game. We could give him some minutes though

De Sciglio is the most light weighted player I have ever seen

These are the kind of games we get to see how bad our midfield actually is.. Thank God we are not in the CL

I hope Bertolacci improves over the course of the season. On current showing, he isn't worth 2mil let alone 20

Its disgusting how much space our defense gives, Antonelli, while great goin forward, is distressing in defence

i have been saying this for 4-5 years and i will say this again, the quality of midfield we have, will get us nowhere!

when our midfield doesn't even have quality, creativity, and natural technical quality and ability to possess ball and keep it for ourselves or make or create chances, we normally just end up hunting until we get tired.

there is no quality creativty no vision  no natural technical ability in none of our midfielders...!
not to mention none of our midfeilders have confidence in comfortably playing the ball. they just cant pass without others letting intercept ball... they simply cant!
we could never imagine this would happen under the likes of rui costa, pirlo seedorf, kaka, even gattuso and ambrosini... despite being defensive midfielders!


i will say this cautiously! milan will continue to concede goals, if the midfield is non existent...

they can neither possess ball nor create chances for forward.

put the likes of nesta thiago silva maldini or cafu.. we can only defend so much until we concede...

i laugh with disgust, when i think that we ended up paying 20 MILLION for bertolacci!!!

that 20 million plus 5 million could have got us witsel, or we coould have aimed for the likes of wijnaldum. or other quality midfielders

hate to say this but the midfielders we have atm is the worst in milan history.. and now we got all the money in the world, galliani still is being very persistent and dumb

tbf, it was evident that we were never going to have enough clout in midfield going in with that lineup (Bert and Jack), when Monty and Gattuso got subbed in '75, you could see we created a couple of good attacks.

Anyways, i honestly thought Ely would get murdered out there but he did decent tbh (bar a Honda mispass to Costa, which, wasn't even his mistake). Bertolacci, had a better 2nd half after a completely subdued 1st. Though, i'm not sure about the Bacca-LA partnership, the chemistry is off a bit, passes going nowhere between them, and you can see them complain to each other. Though, maybe they can improve on that

Did anyone really expect a different result against Bayern at this stage of the season? We need a new CB to partner Ely and ffs sell some of the 239248234324 substandard CBs we have. We also need a better TQ than Honda - who is good, but isn't going to deliver us to the top 3 IMO. Midfield depth will also be a serious problem if Sinisa doesn't put faith in the youngsters. I'd like to see Mauri get some time early on in the season.

I hate Matri

I hate Cerci even more, not even speed (which he doesn't have) makes up for his shit skillset (if it even should be called a skillset). No wonder Simeone didn't play him.

We really need a new quality midfielder. Montolivo just wouldn't cut it for us anymore. He is too injury prone and hasn't been his usual self for more than a year now. At this point, he's as unreliable as any other player in our midfield bar De Jong

We would be bloody lucky to compete for the EL spots, never mind 3rd.

Seriously, at least five teams are better than us, and I am not sure we can count out another three.
