two reasons :

- Perisic is the player we're treating more seriously and the negotation is advanced, all sources say he is close

- The most important thing : Salah and Jovetic are both non-EU citizen . So you can sign just one between these 2.

Icardi

If we sign jovetic he cant play on the wing, then its 4312

Kovacic

If we sign both we'll play 4231 with Jovetic behind Icardi.

If we indeed sign perisic (and sell Shaqiri) and Salah AND Jovetic then Kovacic has no place in the team

Really like Salah, think even though he didnt play for Chelsea much at all he probably got better just being there.

I think the player he is now isnt just form or coincidence, this is just who he is and probably would have shown it if he got to play/with a different coach at Chelsea.

Chelsea only signed him because Liverpool wanted him. I knew he would never play for them.
