Mafia isn't really.

The new one might be but 2 isn't at least in a GTA sense.

It's just what they use to take you from place to place and mission to mission. It's absolutely nothing like it really.

FIFA 12 was the last FIFA I enjoyed, it's been downhill since there.

Anyway, I tried Dragon Age Inquisition out since it got added to the EA Access Vault, and it was actually alright. I don't have OCD so I didn't waste my time doing everything in every area like other people, so it was a relatively painless and quite enjoyable experience for me. Then again, I did pretty much get this game for free, so my expectations for the game were non existent Laughing

On a side note, with EA Access I get to try out the full and completed version of Battlefront a week before it comes out, so if the game turns out to be a turd I'll make sure to warn you guys in advance. Hopefully DICE don't *bleep* it up.

Last DICE game I really enjoyed was Battlefield 1942 lol. Bad Company 2 was decent though

Doubt people will buy Battlefront for gameplay. Mostly for Star Wars.

It looks nothing special from the trailers so far.

Honestly, Battlefront is looking like a cut down version of it's predecessor's, the only thing keeping me interested in it is that it's Star War's, but that may not be enough to keep me hooked after I've tried it.

We'll have to wait and see.

They are targeting Casuals. It's not being designed specially for gamers like the battlefield games.

So, there will be complaints about the game eventually.

As much as I like abusing FIFA, rarely does an old game do it better than a newer one in FIFA

Back then pace and finesse shots were king. Makes the shit goals today look like works of art.

Mafia 2 had an open urban city though. In between objectives you could do whatever the hell you want in the city which sadly was limited to fighting cops, buying clothes, eating and robbing stores.

The first Mafia was originally a shooting and racing game named Gangster. They changed it to open world game just because of GTA 3 lol. And they released it two months before Vice City to capitalize on the hype.

More story focused than GTA ever has been lol.

Soundtrack is always GOAT too :coffee:

Also combat is drastically different, as is driving mechanics ( Police try to arrest you for going above speed limit lol)

It's more about telling a story about the mafia which happens to be set in a world rather than GTA which is the opposite tbh.

It's absolutely nothing like GTA, even 2K said as much lol. Although i fear that the 3rd one might be Sad

Story focused maybe, but I found GTA 4 and 5's story better than Mafia 2's which was good but quite disjointed and rushed. First Mafia story was brilliant though, near perfect.

I'm not sure if it was rushed or not ( not aware of development) but it was definitely too short.

That was my only issue, i felt it should have been longer. I liked what i played but it wasn't long enough. Things like the prison portion of the story were not fleshed out enough.
