He did not have any notable chances but he was buzzing all around the field.

Question: Do you think Conte has not used Fabio because
a) He prefers other players
b) Fabio is still returning to form

Now, before today I really was for option 1, that Conte prefers other players but after today I am thinking it is the second option. This is not because Quagliarella was finally used but because I am trying to think rationally and say that his form is a much bigger concern especially after the serious nature of his injury.

Fabio Quagliarella is one of my favourite players on Juventus and I am going to try and update this thread as the season progresses. Feel free to join me!

I think Conte is a very good coach...
I think if u don't impress him u don't get a shot...
I don't think he has any favorites
we heard that Elia & Quag had played good vs a 4th division team hence why they got their debut vs Catania...

Good point, although I am skeptical about either Quagliarella or Elia not showing effort in training/impressing Conte
They both impress me Very Happy

I know, it really hurt me to see him go down with such a serious injury
I hope we can see him return to that same form and to the national team

Boys, just wait until he is fully fit, and playing more minutes. The man will be on fire, I can't wait. I'd prefer Quagliarella over Vucinic. And go with the pair Matri - Quag, how deadly will that be. Then if we need more width, we'll throw Vucinic in, so he can play more vide and play more roles.

You guys are quickly derailing thread.
This is the Fabio Quagliarella thread, not the Mirko Vucinic or Alessandro Matri threads.

All three can co-exist so STOP putting them against each other, name one team in Europe that only uses two strikers for two spots? Come on now.

I'm just saying, even Matri, Vucinic and Quagliarella for two attacking positions isn't enough.
All three can rotate accordingly and do very well in my opinion.
Quagliarella may be fit but I don't want to have to depend on him 90 minutes each week for his knee's sake.

Matri = Pure Prima Punta
Vucinic = More SS then CF

I'd rather have a Prima Punta who's consistent and is able to score 20 goals a season including an SS who's able to score almost the same. Then have an SS playing with another SS.

Either way, I am just saying that all 3 can get a good amount of minutes and they should.

Yes, and agreed. But having Matri is my ideal option as I see it better. The point is, Quag HAS TO PLAY.

I believe he will, Matri is the better option in a 4-2-4, in a formation like against Catania as the lone striker I would prefer Quagliarella or Vucinic, both are more dynamic. Matri really does need a strike partner in my opinion at least.

I want to see a lot from Vucinic, already being out of form a goal and an assist is not too bad (the assist was to Matri which makes it even sweeter).

I am confident that Fabio will get his time.

From what I have heard, during the midweek practice fixtures, Quagliarella has scored tons of goals a game, as high as five. Albeit, these are all against very lowly teams in which Juventus beat by double digits, but it does show that Quagliarella is fit.

I really hope he starts to play because a player like Quagliarella, with his quality, will not sit on the bench much longer.
