If Pedro was being brought to play as a no.9 at the expense of rooney then fine I agree, but for a winger, we have decent options. What we are we severely handicapped with is a good forward.

Throw that money and some more to prise Lacazette out of Lyon Woodpecker woody. Will more than make up for the loss in that case

Mata is playing on the right and is probably been their best player so far and Rooney is acting like an attacking midfielder.

Just buy a Striker and play Depay, Rooney and Mata behind them.

True except for I wont pick Rooney as an AM either. If he cant make it to the team as a first team forward then bench is his place.
Januzaj, Fellaini are better options. Even Herrera if its a 4-2-3-1. But then that is not the best formation either. Its criminal van gaal is benching a player like Herrera. In actuality there is no need to play with a no.10 when the midfield has got good quality. Just play a 4-3-3 with Ander-Bastian/Carrick-Morgan with Mata Depay on either wings and a new forward.
But sadly lvg wont do the obvious and always makes it so complicated.

Oscar and Pedro apparently have the same movement. Would say Pedro has 18 movement, Oscar 12.
