Nah I'm serious lol, would love a win though going into the national break.
Would be a good boost before we face a team which isn't going to be playing in Europe for the first time this season after the international break lol.
I just doubt we will tbh.

Great preview Urban.
Walcott HAS to start. That's all there is to say.

A few surprises in today's squad:
Cech; Bellerin, Koscielny, Gabriel, Monreal; Chamberlain, Ramsey, Coquelin, Cazorla, Alexis; Walcott
Subs: Ospina, Chambers, Debuchy, Gibbs, Arteta, Campbell, Giroud
Ozil out for a minor knee injury, says the club. Koscielny passed fit after a late test. Walcott in for Giroud, Ox in for Ozil, a lesser spotted Joel Campbell on the bench.
And the Newcastle team:
Krul; Janmaat, Mbemba, Coloccini, Haidara; Anita, Colback; Sissoko, Wijnaldum, Thauvin; Mitrovic
Cech; Bellerin, Koscielny, Gabriel, Monreal; Chamberlain, Ramsey, Coquelin, Cazorla, Alexis; Walcott

Campbell for the shop window, surely? Not a very inspiring bench.
So much for squad depth then.

team of midgets
would jave preffered if it was 433 with Alexis up top and Theo from flank running to space
but has to be 4231 with Theo CF
No #10 though
In any case

I really do hope Koscielny is 100%, wouldn't want him to aggravate his injury.
Let us hope Walcott puts in a masterclass today so urban can be put to peace.

The depth is all injured
That bench would look a lot stronger if Wilshere, Rosicky and Welbeck were fit.
Does it have to be 4-2-3-1? Looks like a 4-1-4-1 to me. I don't think Walcott playing up front necessitates a 10.

Surprised Giroud isn't playing considering he's got 8 in 6 against us

Ozil be missed today, need Santi to be at his best today. Overall we should have enough to get the 3 points today.

I predict there'll be a lot of turnovers with Ramsey, Ox, Alexis and Theo all in the same team. In that case Coqeulin will need a big game to stifle any counter attacks.

Re: Newcastle vs Arsenal 2015/16 PL (Preview/Live Thread)
Isn's this the team that everyone wanted? With Ozil out, its 3 midfielders fitting in 3 midfield positions instead of trying to shoehorn a 4th midfielder into the side. The front three are all pace after all the negativity on Giroud's lack of pace.

Re: Newcastle vs Arsenal 2015/16 PL (Preview/Live Thread)
This is such a deplorable performance by Arsenal. Against 10 men and still can't create any chances. Pathetic. No width, no-one making runs because they know no-one is going to take a risky long pass. Sanchez is the only one with any balls to shoot. Everyone else is pass, pass, pass, pass...What is the point in stringing 20 passes together in non-threatening positions only for someone to misplace a pass and lose possession without a shot at goal!

Theo in, Özil out
Will they ever play together like they were meant to be?

Re: Newcastle vs Arsenal 2015/16 PL (Preview/Live Thread)
Giroud and Ozil are being missed badly, the current set up is fine if you are playing on the counter attack but against a team who will defend all game like Newcastle. Its virtually useless, there isn't enough space to use the pace of Theo and Ox so we proceed down the middle were our build up is so slow and predictable. Giroud should come on, he offers us a presence upfront and we can get some crosses in the box instead of forcing everything in the middle when nothing good has come from trying that.

Need another but Ox is so wasteful on the ball, ruins too many attacking moves
