In fairness, Liverpool should have been out-of-sight in the first half with the number of penalties they could/should have had. Even if they were 50/50 calls clearly they didn't get the luck, in that regard. And it would have been deserved because they were the better team after the goal. Sevilla were rocking.

Second half was a complete turnaround, though. Pretty much all tournament Sevilla have had this ability to turn around poor first half performances in this competition. Moreno made a poor mistake for the equaliser. Second goal was top class, though. Third goal a bit confusing but the right decision was made.

Liverpool had a brilliant run to get here. I thought they would win the tournament because it seemed the stars were aligning. However you can never underestimate Sevilla in this competition - three in a row is a special accomplishment for a club of this size.

Also have to question Klopp's lack of reaction in the second half. Thought he waited too long to make a change.

Ya the period from their goal to the end of the 1st half was the most important period. Liv could have and should have finished the game off there, Sevilla were poor during that phase.

When you have defense that comprise of Kolo friking Toure, Moreno and a gk in Mignolet, you are never safe and Sev showed it as expectedly. Congrats to them. What a team they are in this competition.
Kudos to Liverpool too for reaching this point. Beating Dortmund is a massive achievement on its own which you guys should be proud of.

tbh I have been on lots of forums and the man u fans on here have more class than any ive seen. we all have banter and that's good. but the man u fans on here are fair.

I was stunned to see that the poll was favoring Liverpool. Sevilla had either beaten or had drawn with Juventus a team that had eliminated Bayern until deep into injury time. Eliminating Dortmund with Dortmund's former manager that knew almost everything about them was not very impressive to me.

Could watch this goal again and again tbh:

2 years straight la Liga could get 5 teams in UCL. Both Europa/UCL champions will be Spanish. 3 straight titles for Sevilla in Europa. 3 straight titles in UCL for Spanish teams. 7 of the last 8 UEFA Super Cup champions are gonna be Spanish.

That La Liga dominance on every level.
