Re: The Movie House - Part 9
Really liked the Robert Langdon books though didn't care for Lost Symbol. Inferno is my favorite of the series, but definitely not looking forward to the movie. Not a single one has been anywhere near as good as the source material.

Watched Ameican Honey.
A tad too long but still a very powerful and real film. Enjoyed it. The lead girl is a real find.

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
Just seen a recent horror 'The Autopsy of Jane Doe'.... Anyobdy seen it aswell?
Not scary at all but intriguing. As a horror I would rate it pretty low (the build up was pretty short and it's a shame because it's still that part of the film that keeps the viewer uncertain about what's really gonna go down and builds up that pressure) but generally the movie is very well made and I enjoyed it.
Would recommend but not in the horror category, if you wanna get scared this probably isn't the choice for you.

Goodfellas (1990)
Was pretty good. DeNiro was outstanding. Favourite character by far. Thought film went downhill after he died. Loved the humour. Couldn't care less about Jimmy though. Henry was alright. I liked how they showed the gangster culture. Direction was 10/10.

They were all awful people. Second best mob movie ever for me. After Gangster Squad

Yea agreed. I liked how they showed that they were all as bad as each other. Like Henry keeping multiple girls despite having a family.
What about Casino and once upon a time in America? I don't really like mob movies tbh but heard they are good.
Also want to watch more of De Niro

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
Watch The Godfather already ffs.
I was also severely disappointed by Gangster Squad. Casino and Once Upon A Time are both great films, nowhere near as good as Goodfellas though.

Also DeNiro never dies on Goodfellas DeNiro is the one who plays Jimmy. Did you watch the entire movie thinking Joe Pesci is Robert DeNiro

Was going to ask same thing then stopped thinking it's different Goodfellas he is talking about. Can't be more careful after the "Mad Max" scandal.
Also if RG has indeed confused Joe Pesci with Deniro then I officially will have to cut all ties with him and people he is with.

Yet to find a movie with the same amount of tension and suspense as The Game and No Escape. Only one that came close was Breakdown.

Kubo and the Two Strings had absolutely beautiful animation. Fun story too. I enjoyed it. I didn't think it was a masterpiece but it's a good movie that's worth checking out. Can't imagine how much work it took to make it and how long.

Watched The Girl On The Train, Miss Peregrine and The Shallows. All very mediocre movies. The Shallows was the most enjoyable. Such a schlocky movie, like MT's favs

Anyways I won't change my opion
If Joe Pesci played Tommy then he was outstanding. Loved him. Never heard of Joe Pesci before so it was my first film of his
If DeNiro was Jimmy, then I am surprised because his character was pretty meh

I saw him in Taxi Driver. He looked a lot like the younger version of Joe Pesci imo

You're definitely right that Joe Pesci was the best part of Goodfellas but it's still shameful not knowing De Niro ffs.
