I kinda get you Sri but the way we played, that's excitement that I have forgotten for months. I don't know, it just feels good to watch the team playing like that, a win is icy on the cake.

Spot on. Has also been my conclusion for a while, as evidenced by my activity. I have indeed stopped watching football, only loosely follow results, and pop in here once in a while to lurk/check the mood.

Also, I think it is completely rational to see the big picture of more AW mediocrity and feel saddened, than sacrifice it at the altar of the small joy of reaching Wembley where we're most likely to be schooled by a double-chasing Chelsea anyway.

I just don't think that the FA Cup has any bearing on whether Wenger stays or not. So might as well enjoy it while it lasts if you are an Arsenal fan.

Actually, you may well be right. He's gonna stay anyway. Not like yet another drubbing and a 6th place finish is going to give anyone the cojones to sack him.
