He absolutely will get minutes and he should. I think it's a good fit. You have to remember that our midfield which always plays at least two and sometimes three consisted of: Marchisio, Pjanic, Khedira, Lemina, Sturaro and Rincon. This was last season.

Now we have Marchisio, Pjanic, Khedira, Matuidi, Sturaro and Bentancur (young CM which was part of the Tevez deal). I'm much more comfortable with the second group of midfielders.

No man.  Matuidi starts for France.  But he's crap.  Sissoko starts for France ffs... still crap.  Same with Jallet, etc.  Heck, I think Payet is becoming crap too now with his over-inflated ego.  

I was a fan of Matuidi.  But he's lost a step and he became goal happy for some strange reason and his defense has suffered.  He's lost his way and he's getting old.

Imbula, Lemina, Kondogbia, Kurzawa, Bakayoko I think too, etc. all have the same problem.  They're stupid.  When you move up to the higher echelon of football where every game is under the microscope, you can't hide it.  They have talent but not the mental makeup. They tend to play well (mostly) in big games because it's when they're focused. But in terms of consistently performing and working hard... they're challenged.

Also, I think Mbappe ends up at Man City.

I agree with everything you said but I'd like to point out a small correction, that Lemina is also shit in big games, he is shit in all games.

I can't recall this ever being our issue to be honest. Our issue was last season, when we switched to a two man midfield of Pjanic-Khedira, we didn't have the legs to get the ball back. Real just happened to be the first and only team to expose this and now Lazio last week, albeit in a much less meaningful match.

None from what I've read.  He wants out. he won't sign an extension with Monaco and, since his contract ends in summer of 2019, Monaco has to sell now.

I understand that Milan are celebrating their Trofeo di Mercato but let's get back to reality for a moment. If we needed a "composed passer of the ball in the midfield" (in a midfield with Pjanic ffs), why we're our midfield targets: Matic, N'Zonzi and Matuidi. It's like you guys just make up scenarios to criticize things.

I don't understand why people are getting worked up over the Matuidi deal. 20m? That is a steal in this market, look what Barca got for double that.

Luca is right of course. The last thing we need is calmness in possession. We needed legs.
