Re: General Games Discussion
Speaking of Ni No Kuni/Level 5, apparently they're releasing a PS4 & Switch, anime-esque, football RPG this summer called Inazuma Eleven Ares

Re: General Games Discussion
as someone who played football in school I can 100% confirm that's a realistic depiction right down to having nicknames like the soccer boy chosen by the sun, reminds me of the good old days. None of this Fifa unrealistic BS where scrubs with 90 pace can dominate.

Days Gone delay said to be a purely business decision, several sources claim the project hit all of its recent development milestones and will be out at the start of Sony's 2019 fiscal year, i.e. next April.

Knew it, they are basically moving it out of Red Dead's way.
Willing to bet a lot of single player games will do the same, hell even CoD is lmao.
It's gonna utterly the dominate the last 3 months of the year.

This is actually a well-known series, and it is usually more a sport game with some RPG elements.

Finished my first play through of Nier Automata
- Spoiler:
- Last 3 or so hours rarely impacted my opinion of the game positively( i think it was consistently great from the flooded city onwards), really enjoyed it and the last boss fight was insane from a spectacle point of view and the story, writing and acting was awesome. definitely gonna replay it, but before i do Thimmy is there anything i should know so i don't *bleep* up without spoilers obviously.

You can't really fk up. As long as you manage to get through the second playthrough without being fed up with the repetitiveness, you're good. The story really opens up after that, it's... I can't really explain it

Re: General Games Discussion
I think I'll be fine, I'm feeling pretty good about the game with how the first playthrough ended.
I expect that to carry me through most of the 2nd playthrough even though I can tell already it might be repetitive.
It also helps the first playthrough wasn't all that long winded, (took me around 12 hours) so it's not like replaying massive 50+ hour games over and over.

Re: General Games Discussion
The second playthrough occasionally gives you a different perspective on what occurred during the first playthrough, but it's mostly the same thing, so it may feel like a chore at times. It'll be worth it, once you get past it, though.

- Minor spoiler:
- If you happen to play through all the possible endings, you'll get a pleasant surprise at the end

Yeah, last year I believe. Honestly, one of the better Square Enix games I've played, took me sometime to get all the endings though.

Oh right, yeah I played it some last year but just forgot about it.
Got back into it the last week or so and finished the first playthrough last night.

Re: General Games Discussion
Yeah, solid game play, probably SE's best OST since their Square Soft days (or Final Fantasy VI to be exact), a combat system that doesn't get all that boring, a little (or a lot) tedious coming down to the end but all in all, solid game. Definitely don't regret buying it.
Anyone ever played Life is Strange? Need a GL review on it.

Yeah, me, M99, Firenze, Thimmy and ES lol.
I think it's fantastic, I don't usually like that type of game either.

Life is Strange is a great game to play when you wanna chill, and eventhough it's cringe in many aspects, it's still very enjoyable. Also, everyone likes a good lesbian story.

Yeah, I played it together with my girlfriend after realizing that it was a slow-paced, story and character driven game. She doesn't like gaming in general, but I figured she might like Life is Strange, and she did. I cautiously recommended it on here back when the game was brand new, but I think people assumed it was some shitty indie game, judging by the response I got. I never thought so many people would actually end up playing it. It just didn't seem like the type of game that GL members have traditionally talked about over the past decade.

Depends on how you look at it. I know my childhood friends would question my masculinity, if they saw me playing it
