David McKenzie is an incredible director. Starred Up still one of my favourite British films. A shame Jack O'Connell hasn't become the star I thought he was bound to be yet. Luckily he's still young.

A Star is Born getting absolutely wild hype right now.

Would be surprised if this doesn't turn out to be my favourite film of the year. Has everything I love in a movie.

Not really looked at the line up for the end of the year yet. Expecting a few surprises to come in and do it for me I guess. Think I will enjoy Bohemian Rhapsody though.

Doesn't look anything like Crazy Heart except for the fact it's about Music. Seems quite reductive to say that. It's A Star is Born 4.0 though.

Nothing about the characters seems the same, the story neither. The popularity of the singers. How their love interests fit into the story etc.

Also Crazy Heart is really good. But this one looks infinitely better.

Cuarón's Roma sounds like it's a masterpiece.

97 Metascore on the first 9 reviews.

No surprise really. One of the best filmmakers out there.

Yiorgos Lanthimos' new movie also getting rave reviews from Venice.
