Ended up watching the Bulls play Atlanta and it should be impossible to see a worse game all season.

At least the Bulls players seem to care about winning and many are young lads still developing. For Atlanta fans, watching a 51-year-old ex-dunk guru Vince Carter be your most efficient field-goal shooter with four 3s must be damn depressing.

Well, say you score that, foul and they make both the free throws. You're back in the situation where you need a three to tie, with less time left now. Okay, if they make just one free throw, it's easier for the Lakers to attack when a two-pointer is enough to tie. But I think I'd still try to find the three in that possession they had there.

Eh, you always take the sure points there. Make the other team earn it at the line, and you can also try and get a steal on the inbounds. You'll be able to get another three even if the Spurs make two. If they don't your options get a lot better.

I don't think it's the end of the world though. Fact is you're probably losing that game regardless.
