You hate football because you're 5 points clear at the top against the most successful league manager of the last decade? You know what? Mole might be right after all.

sure he will get there eventually but he's not playing well for a while now
Guy's the complete definition of a midcarder. LMAO at Unique calling him the best midfielder in the league before he had even kicked a ball here.
Meanwhile, Pogbito looking like the future Balon winner, week in, week out. @Unique
inb4 but but we're top of the league, idgaf m8, we would be top if Ole was managing us since day 1 of the season

Who thought it'd be a great idea to buy a fish in a pond player for 70m ffs. It's like buying Rangers' best player.

Welcome to London, Piguain
Sarri looks out of his depth tactically tbh
you think he lasts the season?
I actually feel like, and honestly not related to the game tonight, that they may go for Howe.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Yea, he was shit, but the reason we lost was just our tactical set-up being exposed.Doc wrote:Nishankly wrote:We sure it was Luiz and not Amadu?
I am positive David Luiz was at fault for all 3 goals today.
Press Jorginho and Luiz while leaving Rudi and Azpi wide open and we become clueless. Park the bus and we resort to the hope Eden pulls something out of his hat that we have relied on ever since selling Costa.
Evade our first pressing and there's Kante in the opponent's box while Jorginho is in our half acting like a sitting duck and pretending to be useful.

I don't think he's tactically inept. It's just that hia tactics require very good players or perfect execution. Sort of like Guardiola's first year. I hope we don't do anything too rash.
And we're not always bad, we're just being inconsistent. I wouldnt be surprised if we win the poor man's treble tbh.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Spurs only two points out of second and 7 points off of first
Could the impossible happen?
Nope. But Poch must be fuming. He has this team up there the entire season, in the title race (to some extent) and Spurs haven't given a cent in summer or January. In fact, they sold their most important midfielder for a couple million pounds at the most crucial part of the season
I feel so bad for him. He wants to move the needle by winning a title and he's doing the best he can but injuries and penny pinching mean he has no real chance.
Have to say though, the lasting image of Spurs bottling is gone at least this season. Everytime Spurs are down they find a way to fight back and win. Did it in the CL too.

I wanna say it is due to Poch actually being a fine manager who knows how to get the best of his squad but I also hate Spurs more than Jjuve so...they cheated their way to the top.

Think they now have the record for most games without a draw? (Assuming the score holds). A goal was expected, but no one knows in which direction, NUFC have had good chances

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Newcastle have had a couple alright chances, Ayoze had a good one and Rondon the other, not a whole lot else.
On the whole of the game, deserved for Spurs. Newcastle with some stout and somewhat lucky defending, but in the end Spurs got a bit of luck back.
Llorente was a good sub for Spurs today, even though he should have scored...arguably twice. I'll give him a break for the header, if the sun was in his eyes that's difficult. Not a bad excuse at all, heading the ball when the ball is in the sun is almost impossible to get right.
Son has turned into a bona fide superstar. He's turned into a fantastic player
