Put me in both support list please. I don't get why we need to choose sides. In WWI i supported both the Allies and the central powers too.

Well I am pretty neutral actually. Was supporting Denmark for Kjaer. So I guess I'm leaning towards Italy.

I support Italy but as for the game, may the better team win. You don't get to play a final by chance. Both teams deserved their feats. Also, Euro 2021 alias Corona Euro has been very exciting so far. I hope the final will live up to the rest of the tournament.

Honestly not impressed by England

Fair. England have played results football all tournament. They've been pragmatic rather than try to outplay teams and it's gone surprisingly well. The fact we've got this far makes every Southgate decision look amazing.

There's no reason Italy should feel inferior, even at Wembley.

Italy should look at how the Denmark forwards found space in front of Stones and Maguire and exploit the hell of it. Jorginho and Verratti can control the middle of the park, so you should be able to find Barella and Insigne in those spaces. That's my biggest fear for the game.

On the flip side, if Kane plays as he did vs Denmark, dropping deep and looking for through balls to Sterling or Saka, I think we can trouble Italy's backline. As Spain showed, Bonucci and Chiellini aren't 100% comfortable when there's no traditional 9 to mark and I fancy our wingers to get some joy against Italy's full-backs.

The reason I don't take for granted that players who shine in the World Cup, necessarily are anywhere near as capable at club level, is because, like in the Champions League - if you luck out with the group you're put in during the qualifying stages, you just need a little bit of luck in the semis and the final. Even in the two, final stages, there will always be one side that will be less physically fit for whatever reason.

I think this was quite evident in the last World Cup, where I couldn't help but feel sorry for Croatia, who were much more worn out than the other teams that were left when they were ultimately knocked out of the tournament. Conclusion, there's definitely a lot of "chance" in play in these short tournaments, which is why we occasionally have wild horse winners. Some would argue that it makes it more exciting to watch.

Anch'io sono per l'Italia

This final is actually keeping me up. I cannot remember the last time I was this nervous for a coming game. LFC vs Tottenham CL final likely but this is beyond given such events come each 4 years.


England I felt their power to win this tournament for once, at once when they shook off the name of Germany off their back so deeply they let old juggernaut names get to them.

Its just there and their energy is now with more belief than I have ever seen.

Italy I am worried about because a Spinazzola absence was worse than I thought and Emerson to Di Lorenzo are merely just serviceable nothing beyond their capabilities. And no such prolific and proven goal threat exists up front.

England was actually the last team I wanted to face in a team I support.


And it being in Wemley in front of what will be a belligerent and roaring English crowd I know will shake the nerves of the Azzurri.


Im going to write about it soon why I am so worried for Italy's chances and it isn't out of pure cynicism.

England is so unlikeable, i am rooting for Italy.
