Can Denmark stop football coming home?

England have bored everyone on their way to the semi-final, keeping clean sheets in every game, although there are signs their attackers are coming to life. Southgate has shown himself to be flexible with his formation and starting line-up, though whatever he goes with, you can expect England to play cautiously.  

Denmark, after a very difficult start for multiple reasons, have done remarkably well to recover. They've been a fun team to watch, showing plenty of aggression in possession. One clean sheet in the competition so far is a concern.

I’d go with the team who’s won the tournament before

Our toughest game without a doubt. Denmark have been fantastic and hardly underdogs. Also the most technical team we will face yet other than germany.

Can't wait for this. Wembley with 60k fans. This is wrestlemania level.

i don't do jinx. Honestly Denmark are a fantastic collective team with great technical ability.

Denmark so far:

11 goals (2nd highest)
17.2 shots per game (3rd)
8 shots against per game (4th)

England so far:

8 goals (6th)
7.4 shots per game (22nd Only Finland and Hungary have had fewer shots per game)
8.4 shots against per game (5th)

Highlights the different approaches of both teams. Denmark are dangerous opponents perfectly capable of hurting England.

The question will be if Southgate opts to match their back three, as he did vs Germany, or stick with a back four. I suspect he'll go 3-4-3 again.

Imagine questioning the Tactical prowess of Gazza Southgate.

Even if it doesn't happen this year, it's safe to predict that this generation will win something in the future.

I'm seeing similar dynamics to 2008-2012 Germany, which culminated with a WC win in 2014.

I would not oppose any of these 2 teams winning it, great narratives

After completing Assassins Creed Valhalla, i have a soft spot for the Danes. Hope the vikingyr put on a spectacle.

Yep, following Euro on GL is special , international forum , I can' t wait for playing away the final

Expected England to reach semis minimum but given that that the semis and final is in Wembley, and their biggest threat being an overachieving Italy, I think it's pretty much inevitable that England are going to win this tournament.

Hate to see England winning anything but it's going to happen unfortunately.

This is where it's starting to feel unfair that England get to play at Wembley. Denmark have been good, but I don't see how they could stop this England train at Wembley.

Unfair was Switzerland and Poland made to travel 10000+KM for the group games.

Playing at home can be a burden, too. That Wembley crowd will turn if England don't perform well.

Also if IIRC Denmark beat England at Wembley not too long ago.

England vs Italy would be a fantastic final and I can see that happening. Denmark played with lots of courage and emotion. I enjoy their game and supported them thus far. I would bet for them against Spain but Italy and England's quality will be too much for them.

Yeah, it should be itinerant tournament till to the end

Yes it was a blatant and unfair advantage from the very start.

Tough to call this game.

I think England have got it tactically right for the majority of the games, even if not the most impressive performances, they are fundamentally correct and based on England's lack of success, the lack of impressive game principles are irrelevant.

I do wonder what happens should they face Italy or Spain, who will surely control the game in a way no team they have faced yet will.

Regardless, have to be favored here but apart from that 45 minutes post Eriksen, this Danish team are not a joke and I will be impressed if England beat them convincingly.

wish cornelius, skov olsen and dolberg plays but i understand Denmark coach that if it has worked for them - he seems like to stick with the same team and not change winning formula. fair play to him ...

but i still prefer skov olsen ahead of braithwaite ; yusuuf ahead of cornelius is alright but i know cornelius is a great FW.

Only if they ACKNOWLEDGE him first.

England has got the better defence otherwise the game is up for grabs in this one. I'd give England a slight edge 60% vs 40%.
