Hakan was a WC player in 2020. Created the most chances (or at least top 3) in Europe in that year. However, before that, he was wet blanket.

I honestly think we could have went with Inter to the wire if he (and Bennancer) were not injured at a key moment last year. Both came back a step below their form, and the whole team plummeted as a result.

I knew he was going to be good for Inter, but he wasn't worth the massive salary he was asking for (nor is Kessie worth his asking price).

Of course, it sucks that he went to Inter for free, the fucking snake.

This is a good match by the way. Decent chances by both teams.

If Inter can pretend to be injured for the next 45 minutes I think they can keep a clean sheet here, despite how freakin awful they are at defending set pieces. What’s the point of an Italian team that can’t defend from corners and free kicks? Isn’t that like a cow that can’t moo?

Good performance by Inter. Issue in the second half would be fitness and if Inter can compete with Liverpool's stamina.

So far they have been very good at dead ball situations where Liverpool's midfield bar Fabinho has been invisible. Klopp needs to bring donkeys like Milner and Henderson to exert some dominance in 50-50 situations. Although assuming Inter tire out more quickly the more technical mdifield can become very dangerous from the 70th minute onward.

Inter played a very good match but didn't take their chances. Dzeko, Lautaro, and Hakan conspired to score more complicated goals when simpler actions would have made more sense.

At this level, if you don't take your chances, then you will get punished for it.

Absolute cracking European tie, extremely surprising Klopp did not play a holder alongside Fab and Thiago and that led us to not control. Did not expect this result especially after the first 20 mins of the second half where Inter were all over us. I think the ref was also quite bad, he gave Liverpool fouls more easily than Inter but that said our squad depth pulled us through. Klopp with maniac subs like usual, can't read that dude's mind.

Fabinho proving why he is the best in the world every game and hope Jota isn't out for too long.
