LOL, Matri just came into the top flight scene and comparisons are being made to Pazzo who has been a superb striker for years on end.

Matri may be more complete but Pazzo is unquestionably better.

They are both very similar but two years on Matri's end performing well does not equate yet to Pazzini, but I reckon after next year if Matri can keep it up he will be better.

Good point you have brought up as Matri seems to be and most probably is those type of players that actually needs to be launched into a big club with a future in order to kick off into top gear as he has shown the mental fortitude for the big stage for club and thankfully for us, country.

Matri has time on his side and is not the player who relies all to much on his physicality so he can well perform into his 30s as well.

This year will be his biggest test as with a new coach and start, i predict he will overcome the pressure and perform.

I hope Conte will be able to use him properly though as its tricky to use players like Ale.

Very much agreed. Usually I would not jump to such bold statements, but it honestly astounds me that he was able to integrate into Juventus so quickly, and score 9 goals in 16 matches. And do not forget, he went I believe a month without scoring so I think it may have been more.

Conte looks to have good intentions, he has made it clear that Matri is a starter and Quagliarella is a bench player, even if I love Quagliarella more and I want him to play, but that is just based on personal bias and desire.

I think next season would be a better way to properly judge this. I mean, Pazzini was on Sampdoria where he had Cassano feeding him balls and he put them away amazingly, do not get me wrong, but when Cassano was not there he was not as good. Matri on the other hand came from Cagliari, who were lesser than the Sampdoria of Cassano and Pazzini.

Pazzini doesnt have Cassano at Inter and yet he scores more then Matri in Juve....

And Pazzini was talked about since he was like 18...
I honestly never even heard of Matri before Juve.

Matri has more skill on the ball but Pazzini is superior as far as movement and finishing goes.
