What are the chances of LLorente being called up as main striker in Brazil? Just scored another nice goal and set up Tevez.

I'd love him to go and gather momentum and sharpen up at the World Cup. No doubt it will do his confidence a world of good after last season too.

He'll be an impact player imo . Negredo is also doing well.

I don't think diego Costa will be called for the WC or if so he won't be a starter imo .

It's scary when thinking about Spain's future. Where will they line-up all these great talents ? Isco, Thiago, Oliver, Jese, Suso, Koke, Illarra, Deulofeu, Muniain, all have the potential to be in starters in the NT and should be in the future. Let alone the likes of Jose Rodriguez, Samper etc...

Just like now, with guys like Mata, Silva and others who should be not just starters, but important players. Its a shame but, wealth of talent does that.

Fortunately in 2 years at most Catalonia will be independent, taking a big part of that talent and easying the job of deciding who to call up for Spain.

Can see Carvajal being called up soon if he continues his good form. It's just Azpilicueta/Juanfran are more experienced.

Juanfran is Atleti's weakest link in defence whenever a team plays them, they focus their attacking on his side because he is so slow and leaves space behind

What would be your 7 man from Spain roster that won't make the final 23 man squad? I would leave out Moreno, Albiol, Iturraspe, Thiago, Mata, Villa and Torres but I think del Bosque will pick Villa over Llorente.

I'd omit: Moreno, Negredo, Torres, Llorente, Mata, Iturraspe, Cazorla.

Costa and Villa should be enough options upfront. Don Vicente will play Fabregas as false 9 anyway in 5 out of 7 games. Proud

Moreno isn't needed. With Alba and Azpi you have 2 options for LB already.

Mata, Cazorla, Iturraspe. Meh. Wouldn't play anyway. Koke and Thiago taking their places makes sense.

DAT squad though. Proud

I think it's going to be between Moreno and Carvajal for the last spot depending where VDB sees Azpi

Why didn't he just choose his 23 man squad. So tedious to have to call up so many players when you already know who you will discard

lol at Martinez listed as CB, Spain really lack good CB, that's where don Llorente comes into the picture Proud

Most probably we'll see that midfield against The Netherlands and maybe Chile if it works against the Dutch. Though I expect Xabi to give way, so that Iniesta drops back and Pedro comes in for when we need to chase a game or break the deadlock in the final stages of the game.
